So George "Had a Good War" Robertson is going to be "elevated" to the House of Lords, thus
allowing a by-election to take place on 23 September which, by a strange coincidence,
is the first day of the Annual Conference of the Scottish National Party. Kind of
makes you hope the SNP will give a Labour a right royal trouncing, doesn't it?
Why Albania?

Why do we call it Albania? We hasten to change Burma into Myanmar - and back again. If the
Bengalis want to change Dacca into Dhaka, so do we. We make sure everybody knows that the
Falklands are also named Las Malvinas (after St Malo, peculiarly). So why don't we call
Shqiperia Shqiperia?
