- When at school, apart from signing a mean Bass, Toby played Trumpet and was a champion swimmer and water polo player!
- Toby was born in Papua New Guinea! His parents were over there working and he just 'popped out'.
- When he was born his parents wer going to call him 'Dougal'. This fact slipped out in an 'Ugly Phil' interview a few years ago and fans started calling him 'Dougal' whenever they saw him.
