Influences
John Paul Jones ( Led Zeppelin ),
Geddy Lee ( Rush ),
Chris Squire ( Yes ),
Flea ( Red Hot Chili Peppers )
"These are just a few. I take influences
from any bass line or melody that I
think is good and fits the song.
I was born in Gardena ( Southern
California ) and moved to central
California when I was still pretty
young. I started playing music in junior
high school in around age 14. I have
always loved music and actually started
out as a singer. But as I got older I
gravitated towards the bass. It seemed
that every song I heard I found myself
listening to the bass line before
anything else. I play guitar and
keyboards as well but it always seems
that what grabs me first about any song
is the bass and drums. I am a guitar
fanatic and I love to hear the
instrument played well but it is always
"what's the rythem section doing?" that
runs through my head when I hear a song.
I relocated to the bay area about one
year ago from Sacramento and hooked up
with Velocity shortly after arriving.
This is my dream band. The chemistry is
great. I really believe that people can
feel how much we enjoy what we are
doing. After all, the people are what it
is all about. If you look out at the
audience and they aren't f**kin rockin'
then you aren't doing your job. And we
are out to get the job DONE. I love
being right up front and seeing the
looks on peoples faces. I want to get as
close to the audience as possible. It's
time people have a blast when they see a
band. Rock and Roll is supposed to be
about sex, freedom, emotion, and most of
all, FUN!! No more staring at your shoes
for 2 hours while singing about how
depressed you are. It's time to ROCK!!"
