Part Three- [Excellent]
For Keanu Reeves in the 1988 film Bill and Ted's Excellent Adventure life was  'bodacious'. Keanu stared with Alex Winter in the crazy story about two young 'dudes' and their totally 'excellent' adventure through history. The pair worshipped rock star Eddie Van Halen and despite the fact that neither could play guitar they still still formed a band titled Wyld Stallyns. The pair also had their own language featuring words such as 'bodacious', 'dude', 'excellent', 'heinous' and 'most triumphant'.
Keanu plays Ted 'Theodore' Logan while Alex plays Bill S. Preston esq., they are high school no hopers, hopelessly ignorant. They are in danger of 'flunking out of history and Ted has been threatened by his dad with a trip to military school in Alaska.
But help appears in the way of a telephone booth carrying Rufus a figure from the future who comes to help them pass history.
The duo use the telephone booth to go back and forth through time collecting various historical figures and bringing them to the future.
Bill and Ted's Excellent Adventure soon gained cult status with a sequel being made entitled Bill and Ted's Bogus Journey. It had a much bigger budget than the first and did much better at the box office.
In this story the wicked De Nomolus sends look alike androids of Bill and Ted back through time to San Demus, California in order to kill the guys. The pair hangout with the Grim Reaper. Ted says the line "How's it hanging Death!" and they play him at various games like Battleship and Cluedo, they hang out in hell return to the present to save the princesses and manage to take part in a Battle of the Bands.
Through all the high points that came from Bill and Ted's Bogus Journey, Keanu also found something he hadn't encountered before "Stereotype". The media began to begin accusing Keanu of being dumb as Ted and that no matter what he did he'd always be Ted.
Keanu perhaps didn't help them along commenting on the following in a Ted like manner on Shakespeare: "He just says it right on", on the classic De Faustus: "It's like wow cool", on Buddhism: "Pretty neat" and on LA "It's a twisted place. It's a varied animal. I guess I like it's freeways, get it? Two words freeways, I don't know, nothings for free, huh?"
Realising the press he was receiving Keanu joked "When I'm dead I'll probably only be remembered for playing Ted"
