Too Late To Tell You

A Poem By Sara Marie Curtis, written 7/23/99

Night falls cold upon my soul;
The world punges into dark.
I sit and think of you;
And of where we've been

I wish I had told you;
Just what is in my heart.
I hold a love, deep for you;
But pride got in the way.

I feared your love, and
So I hid the care away.
I acted cold, not wanting
You to see the ugliness in me.

Now you're gone, and my
World is so, so bleak.
My heart calls out for you
And the warmth that you bring.

Your love kept me warm;
Held me in a fiery grip.
That I never could...
Or would want to... escape.

You are my life force, my
Candle in the dark.
That protects me, shows
Me your undying love

Oh, how I wish that I could go
Back and tell you all that
My heart did, still DOES, feel.
How I wish I could tell you those three little words...

I LOVE YOU
