The Big Explanation
So I guess you're probably wondering what in the world this page is for or about. Well, in the grand scheme of things, nothing really. It started a couple of years ago when I had to make a webpage for one of my computer classes in high school. If you think my webpage sucks now, you should have seen it then. Since then, my page has had numerous changes, this being the latest one (I learned how to use tables...cheesy I know).
Larry's Fan Club is also an interesting subject. My friend Shawn and I kind of made it up one day that he should have a fan club, and we made a couple of jokes and laughed it off. A day or two later I was talking to some other friends Adrienne and Heather in Science class and told them about the idea, and they said that I should really do it. So I did. I know ideally fan clubs aren't started by the person it's about but, hey no one else would do it. An exclusive part of my fanclub was that I wrote humorous newsletters, well I tried to anyway. I wrote the first newsletter in the van on the way back from a church trip. The first letter was extremely stupid and the others haven't gotten much better. The first members were my ex-girlfriend Melissa, Adrienne, Heather, Shawn, and 3 girls who were on the trip with me: Mindy, Jacque, and Kinsey. Since then it's expanded to about 70 people, not bad for a dork in a small town. People from all over the world have now joined. Ok maybe a couple people from the internet have joined, and some people have moved away since living here, so it still counts as all over the world. Even my parents and my girlfriend's mom and brother joined, sad I know.
I can't remember how long ago this website has been up. The first entry in my guestbook where Melissa signed it says July 1998, so it's been around since about then. Not too long after that I started putting my newsletters on just to add a little character to my webpage and haven't stopped putting them up. Issue #16 was the first online exclusive newsleter (it makes it sound important doesn't it?) and I got a pretty good response getting people to my website with that.
I went off to college and haven't had much time to work on my webpage (I'm lazy). Now I'm back for the summer and hopefully I'll keep working on it and making it better. I haven't taken any classes or anything on webpage design, I've just looked around at stuff and copied a few things. Levi told how to do tables and that has helped a lot. I've also gotten this page on www.larrysfanclub.org which is cool, but it doubles the banners and kind of sucks but oh well huh?.
