Agents James West and Artemus Gordon ride through the forest for three days without seeing a single living animal. They are on their way to meet with Indian leader Bright Star and hope he can provide an explanation for this strange phenomenon. Before they reach their destination, the agents are confronted by a knight in bullet-proof armor. Suddenly a group of armed men surround West and Gordon and the knight approaches them, welcoming them to Sherwood Forest. The two agents are taken hostage and marched to a camp where they encounter their arch-enemy, Dr. Loveless, who has set up camp in the forest with his thugs, dressed as Robin Hood's Merry Men. Dr. Loveless informs them that a local Indian village has been struck by a famine of his own making. With the tribe half-starved and desperate, Dr. Loveless has promised to restore the tribe's food supply if they will accept him as their leader.* The above information was compiled from The Wild Wild West: The Series by Susan E.
