This pattern released by Mini-Fashion Boutique is based on the vintage outfit Beau Time from 1966 and later in 1967 as Best Bow in Fashion Paks. It is designed to fit the vintage fashion doll figure.

The original Beau Time was in red and blue taffeta plaid/check. The Fashion Paks featured a red bodice (some in the same red linen used in Matinee Fashion) with various skirt combinations (also several re-used from other outfits). Shown on the pattern envelope is my sample which recreates the slim dropped waist top in red linen and features a skirt of navy with white pin dots as originally used for Gay Parisienne. It is finished with a large bow accenting the low waist. In my pattern I chose the option to line the sleeveless bodice in tulle for an easy clean finish. I used a 3" red vintage zipper, installed replicating the vintage technique.

As a variation, I chose some really neat fabric for the skirt which features several splashes of color. The bodice and large bow coordinates with a specific color and illustrates "Vintage Varieties™"—an MFB exclusive line, recreating vintage fashions in a variety of dynamic colors! For the sample shown here (only one of several color combos available) I used four small snaps for the back closure.

This pattern is a complete re-design of APF-146 which was originally part of my Aileen’s Petite Fashions collection. My goal is always a perfect fit, especially if it’s for vintage, and clear, precisely-drawn pattern pieces with a separate illustrated instruction booklet. Pattern comes in a 6" x 9" white envelope with color photo on the front.
