Shirley R. Heater is the owner of Trademark, Patent, and Copyrights of the name Mini-Fashion Boutique, MFB, “On the Runway…,” From the Archives, Aileen’s Petite Fashions, APF, Aileen’s Petite Fashions Collection, Vintage Varieties, The Fashion Plate for Dolls, and all the work which appears under these titles, including: patterns, written material, articles and finished work and are marketed for personal use only. Use of any of this work or ideas in any form other than personal use without written consent is considered an “infringement.” An “infringer” is subject to fine and/or punishment under United States Trademark, Patent, and Copyright laws, as well as possible civil lawsuit.
Patterns are protected under the US Trademark and Copyright Laws and cannot be copied or sold in any manner, such as tracing, photocopying, photographing, scanning, enlarging, reducing or slightly altering, nor transmitted electronically over the Internet. Mini-Fashion Boutique and Aileen’s Petite Fashions and all related items are also registered with ebay’s VeRO Program (Verified Rights Owner Program). Sale of patterns or work, or anyone using MFB/APF work is a copyright infringement for which ebay will remove the listing. This means exclusive rights are retained to sell patterns and the designs that are created with them on ebay. Conditional permission may be granted to sell on ebay; see section below.
Conditional permission may be granted to sell a limited number of handmade finished outfits made from my patterns. Specific permission must be granted in writing, and acceptance of those terms must also be in writing. I also like to see photos (by email is okay) of your work, just as some craft shows require (we've actually had to submit multiple photos of examples which are judged by a review panel) but I'm not that strict, just one or two is fine. This permission and acceptance can easily be done by email.
No mass production or manufacturing is allowed. Individual items must be labeled as follows:
Approved selling venues include to friends, local craft or doll shows, local doll shops or malls or website. Permission to sell at nationwide shows/conventions is granted by individual event and is dependent upon whether MFB is scheduled at that particular event.
If posting on a website or in an album, please use the following wording for the “permission and credit” area:
This agreement may be rescinded or revised at any time by MFB or by mutual consent. This agreement will be in force for an initial six month period and is renewable, beginning with the date agreement is executed, and may be renewed at that time.
Conditional permission may be granted to a registered ebay seller with good feedback for a limited number of outfits for six months at a time made from MFB (inclusive term) patterns. A maximum of three designs may be used, with permission granted exclusively to the seller for each design in order to avoid duplication of multiple sellers of the same design. No mass production or manufacturing is allowed.
The terms Mini-Fashion Boutique, MFB, MFB Archives may not be used in the title of a listing.
When describing the outfits finished from MFB patterns, please use the following wording for the "permission and credit" area of your item description:
If after reading the copyright notice above you still wish to proceed with making fashions to sell in the approved venues, let me know. If you have any questions, I'll be glad to answer them. You may contact me through the email link at the bottom of this page.
