"CUTIES FOR CRISSY" - $5.75 This pattern booklet is for 17-1/2" Crissy by Ideal and is a Vintage Reprint © of the original booklet published in 1970. There are five designs which reflect some of the popular styles of that era.1. Crissy is ready for Cheerleading as shown on the cover (color in pic is "off"—it's closer the background on this page). Included is a short circular-skirt dress trimmed with braid, panties, beanie hat with pompom, even "tennis" shoes and socks, plus instructions for pompoms! Ra-Ra-Ra! Sis-Boom-Ba! 2. She's so cute in "Cat's Meow" (shown below, right), a leopard jumpsuit with wide legs, worn over a ruffled blouse. This is one of my favorite outfits, which I made for Crissy back in 1971 and entered in the County Fair—it won a Third Place ribbon!
3. Her Coat & Tam (above left) are made of felt with top-stitching accents. A fur collar and cuffs adorn the coat. 4) Crissy models her "Mini-Mod Wedding Ensemble" (below, left). The mini-dress style of brocade or bonded lace (or lace over satin) is reflective of that period and is trimmed with organdy ruffles at the neck and sleeve edges. A pillbox hat has an attached tulle veil. The illustration shows a really "mod" option worn over flared pants!
5."Ruffled Romance" (above right) is a full-length evening dress with rows of ruffles on the skirt. Accessories include a "fur" stole and long gloves. The sketches shown here and instructions are on the pages with the pattern pieces. The Vintage Reprint © is printed from my original mimeographed copy on 8-1/2" x 14" legal size paper. It has a gold cover (close to the color of the background shown here) and there are 7 pages of patterns. Return to Gallery Archives Email me at deniseea268@yahoo.com© 2005 Mini-Fashion Boutique |
