"Lunch on the Terrace" is the another great vintage repro pattern released by Mini-Fashion Boutique, designed to fit vintage Barbie and other 11-1/2" fashion dolls. The original Lunch on the Terrace dress was released in 1966 featuring multi-color dot bodice and green check empire waist skirt. The picture hat brim was dotted, with crown, band and trim of green check. My two samples, one in lavender and the other red, illustrate "Vintage Varieties™"—an MFB exclusive line recreating vintage fashions in a variety of dynamic colors!

The uniqueness of Lunch on the Terrace lies in both its style and combination of checks and dotted materials. The original vintage outfit (1966) was the latest in fashion for that day. The perfect fit is achieved with shapely side darts; back snap closure has a unique placket tab. The matching picture hat features a double layer of netting to replicate the vintage openwork netting/lacy over-layer on the dotted brim with checked trim and crown. Although a simple style at first glance, it is a delightful vintage design with more than meets the eye in construction. Whatever colors you choose, this is sure to be a pleaser. This pattern is an exclusive from MFB.

The pattern you will receive includes the envelope with color photos, a step-by-step instruction booklet with a sketch of the fashion and illustrations where needed. The pattern pieces are carefully drafted by hand, printed on two 8½" x 11" pages. Complete pattern pieces are provided so you don't have to place anything on-fold when cutting out.
