CAMPUS COEDS is an original pattern booklet from the archives of Mini-Fashion Boutique, a source of independently designed fashions published in separate fashion sheets, booklets, and bi-monthly newsletter:

The patterns in this booklet were designed and published in 1971 by Mini-Fashion Boutique, These designs reflect some of the popular styles of that era of original vintage doll designs published over 30 years ago. With the patterns in this booklet, Barbie & Ken are prepared for the prom with “Prom Elegance” and “Tux,” “Graduation Gown” for both, plus an extra casual set for Barbie is included.

“Prom Elegance” is a long formal with a double layer skirt and a “scoop” hem, complete with long gloves; and the Tux features long tails, satin trim, brocade vest, shirt and bow tie (fits the larger 1968 Ken):

Graduation Gown for both Barbie & Ken, including caps, & Barbie Casual Set, featuring slacks and paneled tunic, reflective of the 1970s:

These patterns were designed to fit 11½” dolls such as Barbie and the 12” Ken- & Brad-size dolls from the late ‘60s & early 70s. [The graduation gown will fit all size male dolls, including Vintage Ken.]

This is a reprint of the original booklet which was mimeographed on 8-1/2 x 11 paper. The cover is cream or yellow. There are 7 pages of patterns featuring clearly drawn sketches of the outfits and instructions on each page. Other vintage originals from the Mini-Fashion Boutique archives are being made available from time-to-time for such dolls as Barbie, Francie, Skipper, old Ken (skinny), New Ken/Brad, Tutti, Todd, Dawn, Crissy, Velvet, Newborn Thumbelina, 6” Cheerful Tearful, GI Joe, and a few others. These cover a publishing period from 1967 through 1972 This pattern booklet is available exclusively from MFB.
