“KEN’S KASUALS” is a pattern booklet from the archives of original vintage doll designs published nearly 30 years ago. This pattern booklet is for the new “Good Looking Ken,” “Talking Ken,” or “Brad” and will not fit the old Ken or Allen. The new Ken body came out in 1968 so none of the earlier patterns for the original vintage Ken would fit.

OUTFITS INCLUDE: 1) Raglan Sport Shirt, 2 & 4) ) Shorts and Slacks, 3) “Continental Casuals” (shown on cover), 5) Turtleneck Shirt, 6) Shorty & Long PJ’s, 7) Slippers, 8) Robe, 9) Sailor Uniform (Dress Blues, or Dress Whites). Sketches of the outfits are on the pages with the pattern pieces.

The patterns in this booklet were designed and published in 1970 by Mini-Fashion Boutique when I first began designing and sewing for Barbie and Ken. MFB was a source of independently designed fashions published in separate fashion sheets, booklets, or in a bi-monthly newsletter. These designs reflect some of the popular styles of that era of original vintage doll designs published over 30 years ago.

This is a reprint of the original booklet which was mimeographed on 8-1/2 x 11 paper. The cover is pale green—the color doesn’t show very well in the digital picture which is shown below. There are 8 pages of patterns plus a final sheet with directions.
