Kokiri Sword: You start the game with this sword. You must go through one level at least with this sword before you can get the Razor Sword. Damage: 1/4.
Razor Sword: After beating the Woodfall Temple, go to Mountain Villiage. Get some hot water and melt the ice in the Mountain Smithy. Talk to the big monster guy or the man and pay 100 rupees. You will get the Razor Sword. This sword will break after using it 100 times. If you play the song of time, it will revert back to the Kokiri Sword. Damage 2.5/4.
Gilded Sword: You will need to beat the Snowhead Temple before the first day is done to get this sword, and you will need the ability of powder kegs. Get a powder keg and go to the area that you come to before you get to the Goron city (the area has bridgesin it). Roll up the hill and get to the huge rock. Put the powder keg in front of it and let it do that thing where it blows up. Go inside and participate in the race. If you win, you will get the Gold Dust. Go to the cabin in the Mountain Village where you get the Razor Sword. Get the Razor Sword. GO back to the cabin and talk to the guy. When it says to press start to get the item out, get the Gold Dust and show it to him. He will look at it and mumble something about having some left over. He will make you the Gilded Sword for free. This will last you for the rest of the game. Damage: 4/4.
Great Fairy's Sword: If you collect all 15 faries in the Stone Tower Temple, you will get this sword. After defeating the temple with all the faries, warp to the Ikana Canyon owl statue. Go to the doors of the castle and go to the left a bit. You will come across a hole in the wall. Go inside to make the Great Fairy whole again and you will recieve a prize, the Great Fairy's Sword. This sword is a C button item, so you may equip it along with another sword. Damage: 6/4.
Hero"s Shield: You start the game with this shield. It does all the things the Hylian Shield does in The Ocarina of Time(c). It is your shield until you get the...
Mirror Shield: This shield you get before the Stone Tower Temple, but after the Great Bay one. Go through the maze with the gibdos and the items and stuff until the last room. THis room will be very obvious to your eyes because it is very light, and it has a huge treasure chest in it. Open the treasure chest to find the shield.
Hookshot: This is a strange tool used to pull you from one place to the other. If you shoot it at a wooden post or a target, it will pull you to the target or post. A little red dot shows where the hookshot will hit. If there is no red dot, your trusty hookshot will not reach the desired place. It is recieved in the Guerudo Fortress. To get there, warp to Great Bay. Swim towards the island with the doors as Zora Link. Sink to the bottom and look for some skulls on some pannels of wood at the bottom of the lake. Swim into all of them until you smash one with a hole in the back of it. Get through the guerudo place until you are at the place with many Guerudo Pirates patrolling around a huge sturcture with a ladder and a bridge. Put on the Stone Mask (you can find a description of how to get it HERE) and go up the ladder in the center. Go across the bridge and through the door you will get to a spot that looks like a metal hall. Go to the bars in the wall and watch the little cinema. Shoot the beehive with an arrow to let the Pirates have it. go out of the door and go right. jump to the next ledge and go through that door. go to the chest and get the hookshot.
Hero's Bow: This bow is recieved in the Woodfall Temple. It will be used throughout the game with no upgrades (ie. Hero's Shield-Mirror Shield). Find arrows throughout the land of Termina to use as ammo. Since arrows are limited, and scarce in some parts of the land, you shoud use the hookshot as much as possible, unless the target must be hit with an arrow (ie. eye switchhes), or it is just too far away. You will get special arrows during your quest. They are...
Fire Arrows: These beauties are found in the Snowhead Temple. You must defeat a Wizrobe to get them. They must be obtained to beat the game because you must melt snow and ice with them in certain areas. As just said, they are used to melt ice and snow to get to other areas. They do more damage than regular arrows, but use magic.
Ice Arrows: These little cold but friendly pointy buggers are found in the Great Bay Temple. Defeating the wierd bubble covered eyeball, Wart, will give them to you. They are used to make small islands in the water and are absolutely essential in beating the game. They do more damage than arrows and use up magic.
