Am I the only one who has a problem with page 449 of the big book? Let me clarify....it's true that acceptance is the answer to all my problems. What I disagree with is that part about 'nothing, absolutely nothing happens
in God's world by mistake.'

Ever seen a downs syndrome baby? Were you witness to the floods in the Red River Valley last year? Or the tornado that nearly wiped the city of St. Peter, Minnesota off the map? I'm sorry folks! Those things ARE accidents!
Please bear with me now. Remember......thought provoking. Right?

It is my belief that a lot of things in God's world do happen by accident....not because God makes mistakes(certainly not!)....but, rather because His world was set up to operate under certain unchanging principles, or the laws of physics, if you will.

So, the earth will always spin on it's axis and revolve around the sun. The weather will always be as it is, not as you or I would have it. Etc., al...ad infinitum.

Those things are inviolate, natural laws that do not change. But God does see fit to change certain things, our attitudes for example. So maybe I just need to accept that page 449 is the way it is, and that the majority of people agree with it.
