O Lord, I thank you for touching
my life during this time of sickness.
You have opened my eyes so that
I could see the signs of your presence.
You provided me with time to reflect upon myself,
my past, my values, my problems and my life.
Somehow a lot of things that until yesterday
seemed to be important are insignificant
today and I have learned to really
appreciate the simple blessing of every day.
It seems as if I woke up from a hazy dream.
For all of this, Lord, I thank you.
