Life is the precious most gift of God.
God is the author of life, and therefore, it is divine and inviolable. God created us in
His own image and likeness (Gen. 1.26). We have been called to respect and protect our own
lives as well as those who are vulnerable. The most
vulnerable human being is the unborn child.
Life is in great danger today. People kill themselves and one another recklessly. But the
worst form of these killing is the crime of abortion and infanticide. Thousands of youth
lives are deliberately destroyed everyday. Hundreds of mothers also die from complications
of abortion. Abortion is not just the removal of some
unwanted tissues or a lifeless mass from the womb; it is the murder of a living human
being. A foetus is a human being from the very moment of conception.
The unborn child has a right to life. Nobody, including the mother, has any authority to
deny this right. Abortion is morally and spiritually wrong as it is against the laws of
God and humanity. The Church opposes all forms of violation on life. All major religions
of the world denounce abortion.

stages. It brings together people of good will to fight against sinful anti-life forces
and helps people in need.
