Mimi sighed and looked at the sky. She was outside. The spring talent show was coming up and she
really wanted to sing...for him. She was trying to find a perfect song for him. She looked through all her
CD's but none of the songs were fit for him. She decided to go back inside the house. Her mom
greeted her at the door.
"Hey Mimi honey..care for a snack?" she asked.
"No thanks," said Mimi as she walked slowly to her room. She took out her CD...Lunarock...it was a
Sailor Moon soundtrack..well she didn't listen to the songs to that so she popped it in the CD player.
The first song was power of love and it was good but not enough...then it was I wanna hold your hand
but it didn't really have alot of romance, next was Who Do you think you are?
But that sounded like a song from Tai to Matt. Then it was moonlight Destiny but it wasn't really good,
then it was Daddy's Girl but it was more for a dad than a guy you have a crush on. Then it was Soilder
of Love but it was more of a fighting song, it fitted sora so well, then it was Nothing at All but it was
more of a friendship song...not good.
"Oh," thought Mimi." This CD doesn't have any good songs for him" ...then the perfect song played...it
was perfect..it was called I Want Someone to Love.
"It's perfect!" shouted Mimi. She practiced singing it for hours until she knew the whole song by heart.

The next day....
It was rehersal time...Mimi was so nervous that the palms of her hands were sweating. She wanted to
quit but then it was for her love so that regained her courage to go up there...finally....it was her turn....
"NEXT!"
Mimi stood up there on stage and the music started and she sang...how heavenly it sounded with beat
and attitude..a song for your one and only...she finally finished...the judges appauled...she made it!
3 weeks later
It was the day of the talent show...the day Mimi was so nervous about...she stared into the
audience...he was there! With his other friends in the front row! Oh how Mimi admired his smile and
hair...
"NEXT UP!" the princaple annonced..."MIMI TAKAWAWA!"
Everyone appalauded as Mimi nervously went upstage...she looked gourgeous she was wearing a
glittery pink mini dress and put her hair in a French twist.
"MIMI! MIMI! MIMI!" the crowd went on and on...
"Ummm...this song goes to my one and only...the one I admired since I laid eyes on him....YAMOTO
ISHIDA!"
The crowd gasped and she saw Matt slinking down his seat...blushing..there was a pause when...
"GO MIMI!" Yamoto yelled.
The audience cheered.
Then the music started and Mimi sang....

Everyone cheered and stomped their feet and stood up clapping - matt clapping and cheering the
loudest of all. It must of lasted for hours until the teachers told them to quiet down.
After the talent show, the teachers annonced the winners.
"The third place winner is...Amy Minzuno for Dreaming!"
The audience cheered while Amy shyly went up to get her prize..a small trophy, a bronze medal, and
50 dollar cash.
"The second place winner is....Nathaly renderous for Rainy day Man!" nathaly proudly, throwing
kisses, went up to recive her prize...a medium size trophy, a silver medal, 100 dollar cash, and a
portable CD player.
"and..the grand first place winner is...MIMI TAKAWAWA for I want someone to
LOVE!"
Everyone roared as Mimi went up to recive her prize...a large gold trophy, a gold medal, 200 dollar
cash, and a boom box! they also gave her flowers...Mimi bowed.
After the show...
Mimi changed into her regular cowgirl outfit and walked home with the boom bok and trophy in her
hands and the 200 dollars in her purse and she wore the medal on her neck.
"Wait up Mimi!" yelled a voice.
Mimi turned around...Matt!
"Matt?" said mimi
"Hey," said matt." You were awesome out there! You are the ahem...womon!"
"Thanks,' said Mimi blushing.
"Want me to walk you home?" asked Matt.
"Sure," said Mimi shyly.
Matt carried her boom box and trophy. They were on the pourch of Mimi's house.
"Thanks,' said Mimi.
"You're welcome," said matt.
There was a long pause...
"You know Matt," said Mimi finally. " know I meant what I sang...I...I love you Matt."
Matt turned to mimi and blushed.
"Really," said Matt. " Wow..i feel the same way Mimi...love you too!"
They came close and kissed.
