Lesson:
Calculate Statistics
As you can see on page A2.38, Access supports built-in statistics, such as COUNT, SUM, AVG, MAX, MIN, STDEV, VAR, FIRST, and LAST. To use any of these, just include it in a query in the Total row, found within the design view. The Total row routinely does not appear within the grid. To include this row, just right-click the grid, and then click totals on the shortcut menu. See the examples on page A 2.38-9.
