Lesson for Day Five

 

 

In this lesson, we will review and learn to:

Insert a clip art or photo

Change types of fonts

Use different colours for the fonts

Change margins all the way around the document

Insert bullets

Insert a hyperlink

Insert a Word Table

Edit Tool Bars

 

 

To insert a clip art, click Insert, Picture, Clip art as seen here.

 

 

To insert a photo, click Insert, Picture, but select From File.

 

To change types of fonts, click the “font text box,” and the down arrow key, as seen here.

 

To use different colours for the fonts, click on the “font colour key,” and select the colour, which you wish to use, as seen here.

 

 

 

 

Change margins to .5 all the way around the document, click on File, Page setup, as seen below.

 

A new Page setup window will pop up as seen here.

Now change the margin spaces by clicking the up and down arrows.

 

To insert bullets, click on the “Bullets” key.  Note- The user may need to select the text, which you wish to place the bullets in front of. 

To insert a hyperlink, click on the “Insert Hyperlink” key, as seen below or press Cntrl+K.

The Insert Hyperlink window will now appear, now simply key in the address of the page, which you wish to link with.

 

 

To insert a Word Table

 

 

Click on Table and select insert Table as seen below.

 

To edit the Tool Bars, click “Tools,” then “Customize,” as seen below.

 

The Standard, and formatting bars should always be checked.

You may also move the tool bars about by using there “move handles.”

To use a “move handle” use you mouse and use drag and drop techniques.
