Four Card Spreads The spread that I am presenting here is one version of the elemental spread. I would recommend using this spread when an in depth look at an issue is needed. The cards are defined as follows: 1. East (spiritual) 2. South (physical) 3. West (emotional) 4. North (mental) Placement: In a diamond pattern, with north on top, east to the right, south on the bottom and west to the left. Question: What do I need to know about my relationship? Answer (deck used was Ancestral Path): 1. East (spiritual): Nine of Sacred Circles (Pentacles) You have reached a time in your life when , through your personal experiences, you have come to bring certain wisdom into your life. It is now time to share that wisdom. Your relationship will flower when you are willing to share your thoughts and feelings. 2. South (physical): Seven of Staves (Swords) In the physical world, this relationship is the bringing together of many things for you. It is a direct reflection of who and what you are. 3. West (emotional): King of Staves This indicates a need for letting go of making judgments. You have control of your thoughts - you express yourself well withing the boundaries of this relationship. 4. North (mental): Nine of Staves In working on this relationship, be willing to allow life to flow. Do not worry things to death, thereby making yourself ill.
