Somehow I have never found comfort in the two's. When they show up in a reading all I want to do is get past them - for them to hurry up and do whatever they are supposed to do! I see them as a waiting game - and I have no patience. And this is the card of harmony. ;-)
Two's are about duality, about balance, about intuitively knowing how to walk the middle road. Seen in a positive manner - they are the bringing together of opposing qualities. The Shadow side - a lack of balance, a refusal to see things as they are.
In the Wands, we see this as the ability to make creative choices - to bring two ideas together to make a third energy. The power here is through personal choice.
In the Cups, we see this as a healing of energies. This could be with another person, or with the masculine and feminine within.
In the Swords, we see this as letting go of judging - of making peace. We can also see this as uncertainty.
In the Pentacles, we see this as movement and expansion, especially in the realm of home and work.
deck: Osho Zen Tarot
description (mine): We see a pastoral scene, moving into gentle hills and mountains. In the background is a rising sun. Flying high and surveying the whole scene is an Eagle.
interpretation (mine): Fire (Wands) indicates creativity and passion. As the Eagle fly's freely and surveys his domain - this is a time for you to open up to the possibilities that are being presented to you. Take these possibilities to your core and live them to the fullest.
affirmation: "I celebrate the opportunities that lie before me."
description (mine): Here we see a very muted scene - two trees standing next to each other with their branches intertwined. The tree on the right is red, the tree on the left is yellow. The colors flow all the way down to the roots. They are surrounded by green grass and a bright blue sky. Around the two entwined trees is a white aura - they are as one in energy.
interpretation (mine): Water (Cups) speaks to emotion. The two of Cups speaks of two energies, two entities coming together in friendship. One does not depend on the other for it's strength - each stands alone and extends its hands to the other. This is the beginning of unconditional love.
affirmation: "Because my strength comes from within, I can extend to you unconditional love - love with no restrictions, no expectations and no demands."
description (mine): Two giant buildings rise on the right and left hand sides of this card, with open space between them. Clouds float in the bottom third of the card - the buildings are very tall. Above the buildings two birds fly. Stretched between the two buildings at the top is a figure all in white - hands on one building, feet on the other.
Interpretation (mine): The qualities of the mind and the heart in man divide him - make him schizophrenic. Clouds speak of the mind - of clearing the mind, stopping the chatter, becoming more focused. Two's contain the energy of coming together. The Two of Clouds asks us to suspend thought - to quit trying to *figure out* the answer. When we take the quantum leap - when we let go and assume that Universe will be there for us - we become all that we can be.
affirmation: "In letting go I allow my true path to come to me."
description (mine): We see a picture of wonderful multicolored hills and sworls, with the vague shapes of a city in the background. Steppingstones come from the middle left of the picture down to the right hand corner. Balanced on one foot and crossing the stones is a figure dressed in white with black edging on the sleeves and collar. He is walking with his arms outstretched and a blissful look on his face.
interpretation (mine): Rainbows (Pentacles) speak of earth - of solidity, of the here and now. The Two of Rainbows asks us to live in the here and now. To not pay attention to anything that is not presently before us.
affirmation: "In leaving all attachments and judgments behind me, I open myself to the joys of life."
