Illumination Tarot is a site that is, simply put, quite well
thought out and quite well exicuted. It is so packed
with usable information that I am not really sure
where to start. As Nellie (the site owner) phrases it:
"Tarot Insights - Exploring The Sacred Art Of The
Tarot".
For me, that says it all. Tarot is a sacred art, a tool to
be used with discretion and discernment. Nellie does
a fine job of presenting Tarot and Tarot related
information to the site visitor. Under "articles", we
find well written essays on Tarot and dreaming, Tarot
and meditation and on the basics of Tarot reading.
In "Tips For Beginners" and "Tarot Questions", Nellie
gives sound, common sense answers for anyone
wishing to begin doing readings for themselves or for
others.
"Spreads and Rituals" deals with several different
types of Tarot questions, and presents unique spreads,
complete with excellent graphics. This is a fun corner
to spend a few minutes in!
"A Tarot Collection" is a series of Tarot deck reviews,
complete with very professionally done scans. The
reviews are well thought out and well presented.
"Non-Tarot Decks" is a series of reviews on decks of
non-Tarot origin. There is a nice diversity of decks
here - a good place to go before you decide to make
your next purchase!
"Oracles" contains a review of the Egytpian Scarab
Oracle, a tool used for both divination and
spiritual growth.
"Tarot Book Shelf" is a series of Tarot book reviews.
The reviews are well written, and there is a
diversity of books here. Another good place to visit
before making a purchase!
"Tarot Journal" is a wonderful journey through a series
of Tarot cards, complete with scans. This is an excellent
section to be used for study purposes.
"Tarot Meanings" is a newly created section that deals
with the journey through the Major Arcana.
"Tarot Glossary" is a literal glossary of the words used
in the study and practice of Tarot.
Under "Tarot Resources" Nellie has listed several
personal Tarot sites, with a short explanation of what
each site offers. I found this to be quite a good
reference section.
There is more - wonderful bits of trivia that warm ones
day and ones heart. This site is definitely worth more
than one visit!
