Today is December 26, 2000. This is the day after Christmas and again we did not have a white Christmas. The weather guy said we have had only four white Christmases in the past 102 year history of this part of Texas. That is ok with me because I do not get into snow or cold weather. I prefer the warmth of Fall, Spring and Summer. Today the weather has not been pretty. It has rained all day and the temp. is supposed to drop into the mid 20’s and not get much warmer tomorrow. They are planning to sand the bridges due to icing.
I
spent the day at the Day care support group today. I am disappointed in this group.
The idiots seem to be in control instead of the moderators. The moderators seem afraid to take control
of any situation that might arise in the group. You must understand that the majority of people that attend this
group are working with anger issues and there are times when tempers will
flare.
Today
was a different day. The first half of
the day was centered on how we felt individually. By the time we finished this it was time for lunch. After lunch they wanted to hear from me and
what I wanted to talk about. So we
finished lunch. I asked that we talk
about the goal pyramid, and before I could specify a specific area, the
moderator jumped at the chance to show the pyramid and he went into a synopsis
of the pyramid in general. He lost the
attention of the group and was not able to get it back. By this time, the weather outside had
deteriorated to the point they closed the meeting early and said they would
call us tomorrow morning if we were to come or not. So we all left the building.
