Just after this block is a readme file
so you will know how to download and use these if you have never done it before. I know, there is a Readme file INSIDE the zip file
but that does little good for those who have NOT downloaded
before, so... |

Re: Mouse pointers downloading, and Zip files in general Since the README file is INSIDE of the Zip file, you probably need some instructions BEFORE you download these. Some people know this already, but for anyone who hasn't downloaded before, well, you might need this. Here are instructions for downloading a zip file, and especially, these mouse pointer zip files.
Also, here is a Downloadable Text File so you can save these instructions offline for later reading if you need them.
Now, if you don't know how to change your mouse pointers, read on. 1 - After the file is downloaded, your browser should ask you if you want to unzip the files. Unless you have an offline utility, you must do this at this time, and unzip them into a temp directory. You can use C:\Windows\Temp if you like. Then ALSO save the zip file to that same directory if you wish to keep the zip file. 2 - Then if you want to keep the zip file, move it to whichever directory you want to keep it in, or copy it to a floppy. Then move the extracted cursor files to C:\Windows\Cursors directory and remember what they look like. When you are using Windows Explorer, the cursor files will take on a rough example of what they really look like. Also keep this readme file someplace for later refrence. You can copy it into the Windows\Cursors file if you wish. 3 - Then using your "Start" menu, go to "Settings", then "Control Panel", then "Mouse". The mouse looks like a mouse colored magenta. When the Mouse screen comes up, click on the tab reading "pointers". 4 - You will then see a screen with different arrows on it. This is the pointers mouse screen. The highlighted text should be on the top line. If it isn't, click on it to highlight it, and then click on the "browse" button. 5 - Go and find the icon you want for your main pointer, click on it to highlight it, and then click on the button marked "open". 6 - Then back to the pointers mouse screen you began on, click on the "apply" and you will see your pointer change into that new one. 7 - Then either click on the "ok" to leave the pointer as that, or Highlight another line of text and go back to "browse" and choose a pointer for that one. When you are done - click on "ok" and you will have new a mouse pointer, and if you choose to do moving cursors as well, then you will also have new moving cursors. I have bought a licence to that program that I made these with, (that I use all the time), so I can continue to make cursors and custom icons. |

Web Tutor - freeware from Joe Barta. This is Joe Barta's web page and close to the top is where you can download his web tutor program. I learned how to do frames from that to do a web page for my church. |
