LIfe with Dad was great. Dad didn't come into our lives until one of us was fully grown with children of her own. And one was half grown preparing to leave the nest. Our Dad made up for the years we missed having a father. He had so much love to give we soon forgot about the empty hole a child feels by being raised by a single parent only. Now we are not saying anything against single parenting. We have experienced that hard task with our own children. What we are saying is any child raised by only one parent will have a feeling that all is not complete. Or so it felt with us until Dad came along. Dad filled that empty gap quickly. He stepped right in and became the best and only Grandfather our children new. On the night of our Dad's and Grandpa's passing we all sat around the kitchen table and discussed the many blessings bestowed upon us from this one single man who is a God Sent for our family. We would like to share this great gift our Dad and Grandfather gave his family before he left.

Our Dad and loving Grandfather Had....

A friendly smile and welcome hand for any one he met.

He could see no fault in anyone until proven differently.

He had high standards for family values.

His family was his top priority.

He treated his second family with equal respect as his first. There was no first or second. All was one in his heart.

He was highly respected and admired by his co-workers, friends and all family members.

He loved music of all variety. He would sit and listen to all variety of music by the hour to relax. He loved to attend musical shows. Dad was once ask if he had a favorite style of music. His answer was: "I like all music but if I must choose... then Jazz is at the top of my list".

He had a good sense of humor. He loved to laugh as well as bring laughter to others.

Dad went above and beyond the call of duty as "Head Of House Hold". He was a good mentor and teacher to his children and grandchildren.

He possessed the gift of patience under any circumstance.

He was a man of good strong faith and morals.

He was sociable. He enjoyed traveling and new challenges.

He enjoyed yard work with respect for mother earth and all of nature.

He displayed respect for all cultures of life and religion.

He was artistic and talented in his career as an engineer. He managed to put his talents to good use by upgrading his home with pride.

He was an accomplished and intelligent scientist, earning several awards and over 60 patents in his life time.

We are proud to call Dr. I.A. Lesk ...."Our Dad and Grandpa". He left his mark before he left this earth. A good mark that will live within us his family and anyone that has had the privilege of coming into contact with him. Through this mark our beloved Father and Grandfather will live forever.

We love you Dad. Although we will miss your comforting and encouraging smile and hugs. We will never forget. You will remain in our hearts and thoughts forever.
