Animal Attributes
1)Bat = A bat was thought to bring good luck for participating in games of chance. Bat magick was also used to "see in the dark" and see things in the astral. Bat and cat magick mixed together assured one the second sight as well as heightened intuition.
2)Frog = The frog was said to be able to delineate one's true soul. In mundane magick, he was used(quite literally) to open locks and turn back hexes as well as control the weather. In alchemical magick he was a discerner of truth and connected with lunar energies.
3)Mule = The magick of the mule could make both men and women barren of offspring and property. Therefore, witch's did not keep mules on their property.
4)Unicorn = Unicorns were seen as the traditional symbol of purity(as only a virgin could capture one) and were often drawn on birth certificates to ward off evil and impure thoughts that may be set against the child.
5)Vulture = The vulture was uses as a spy and invoked for wisdom. In Egypt, the vulture was respected and honored as one who carried great intuitive prowess as well as logical and fair thought. Vultures were also the guardians of herb magick.
6)Owl = The owl was considered extraordinarily wise, but it was also the pathway to any alchemical animal magick. The owl was often invoked or consulted before other animlas were considered or used. To have an owl outside your window was a signal that it was time to work magick for wisdom.
