I was actually really good at school.I think the worst
thing I did was throw chalk at the back of our Geography
teacher's head.

Not much!J and Sean are the naughty ones.

The baddest thing that I've ever done is phone J up at
6am pretending to be a heavy breather!

We do have rows in the band,but I don't start them.I'll
listen to what someone has to say and then I'll have MY
say.
HAVE YOU EVER LIED ABOUT YOUR AGE?
Yes I have,but only to get into a pub when I was 16.I
was out with my cousins and I told the man on the door
that I was 23.He asked me for my date of birth and I
just got stuck and gave the wrong year and made myself 20
years old.Whoops!
WHEN WAS THE LAST TIME YOU GOT INTO TROUBLE?
When we were co-presenting The Big Breakfast I didn't
turn up one of the mornings.I'd been staying at one of
my cousin's houses and hadn't gone to bed until really
late.I just didn't wake up!
WHAT'S THE BIGGEST FIB YOU'RE EVER TOLD?
I tell white lies just to keep people happy.But the
biggest fib I've ever told was to my teachers at school
when the band was just starting out.I said one of my
friends was really ill in hospital - somehow they
found out that I'd been lying,phoned my mum and she
phoned my manager!

They've never punished me because I've never done
anything that bad - I'm the perfect son!

I was generally a bit of a lad at school and got up to
all sorts.The teachers knew I was a nightmare.I used to
smoke in the cupboards and when I was in the sixth form
I walked out of school and went down the pub!I did loads
of really bad things but never got caught - so I won't
admit to them now!

We're all quite naughty in interviews with the foreign
press.We swap our names and pretend to be each other.

The best bit of trouble I've caused lately was when me,
J, and Scott played the mask gag on Sean.J had this
nasty gas mask and he put it on at 3am in the morning,
and me and Scott hoisted him onto the porch which was
below Sean's window.J put his hand through the window
and onto Sean's head.He screamed out loud and J was just
killing himself laughing!
WHEN WAS THE LAST TIME YOU STARTED A ROW?
Me and J had a huge row when we were on the Mizz
roadshow in Sheffield.It was the first night and we were
talking through the stage routine and we just kicked off
from there.It was the most not-needed row that I've ever
had with him,I think.

I don't get into trouble anymore,but I used to when I
was younger and I was in my lad phase!
WHAT'S THE WORST PUNISHMENT THAT YOUR MUM AND DAD HAVE
EVER GIVEN YOU?
Well,they have tried to ground me - but it didn't work.
And they have given me big chats about what I've done
wrong,but my mum is not a pushover - I don't get away
with everything.
HAVE YOU EVER LIED ABOUT YOUR AGE?
Yeah,of course I have - everyone has,haven't they?I
really spun a yarn to this girl at my mum's pub and told
her that I was 24 - and she believed me!But when we all
went to America a couple of months ago someone said they
thought I was 27 and I found it quite depressing to hear
that - although I suppose I've always looked quite a bit
older than I really am.
HAVE YOU EVER BROKEN THE LAW?
Yes,but I'm not telling you how because I never got
caught and I don't intend to land myself in it now!It
wasn't anything really bad,but it was definitely against
the law.

I really don't like lying.I do tell the odd little
white lie to help me along,but I haven't told any
whoppers for ages.

The bell had gone and everyone was made to line up near
the door before they'd let us go.I jumped on my mate and
we went straight into this line of kids,who all fell
over - it was like watching dominos falling.The teacher
was at the end of the line,so he got pushed into the
filing cabinet behind him!

We do get up to all sorts,especially in hotels,but I
haven't done anything naughty for ages.Sorry!

I locked Rich in a toilet and sprayed him with fart
spray and wouldn't let him out for hours.He was nearly
crying when I did eventually let him out,and I managed
to ruin £800-worth of clothes because he couldn't get
the smell of fart spray out of them!He went mad.

I once told this girl that I had a really nice car,to
try and impress her,but then she asked me to pick her up
in it - so I had to think very quickly and say I'd sold
it!
WHEN WAS THE LAST TIME YOU GOT INTO TROUBLE?
Since I've been in the band I have really calmed down,
but I was in trouble all the time at school - so that
was probably the last time.

Only to get into clubs when I was younger - everybody
thinks that I'm lying about my age now.Loads of fans
think that I'm 26 or 27,but I'm not even 22 until this
month.

It was probably with our managers about working too
much and not having any time off.

Yes,but I've never been caught.It wasn't anything major,
though - just a few murders.Only joking!

They stopped me going out,but I probably deserved it

I used to go to acting school and I did some naughty
things there.I changed the soap for paint in the toilets
- quite a few people were walking about with paint on
their hands!

We've often run around naked through hotel corridors.Me
and Abs normally share a room when we're staying in a
hotel and we've done lots of naughty things,too,but I

Apart from the mask episode with Sean,we haven't done
anything to each other lately.We're all too tired most
of the time, but we do like to wind each other up!

I do something wrong every day and someone is always
having a go about something,so yesterday was probably
the last time.

They have grounded me before,but I always do my little
cheeky grin and use big puppy eyes and eventually they
let me off being grounded!

A couple of days ago we were all at another shoot and
we were supposed to stay there 'til 6 o'clock,but we
were all feeling totally knackered.Basically,we all got
into a strop and said that we wanted to go home.We ended
up having a row with the photo people there.So rather
than posing for the pictures,we just left!

Yes,very recently at the Mizz roadshow in Dundee.Me and
Tony from the group mytown told this girl some complete
porkypie about how old we were - and she believed every
word,poor thing!

Yeah I have.I did get caught and I do regret it,but I
was young back then,and I've learnt from my mistakes.

I don't see the point in lying because at the end of

I had a fight with a teacher once.She kept picking on me
and one day in the playground she grabbed hold of my bag
as I was running past and she ripped it.I went mad and I
was right up to her face shouting at her.I knocked her
hand and her coffee cup smashed into pieces on the floor.
I got into trouble for that one.

We all love to gang up on our road manager Rob every
now and then,but apart from that we don't really get up
to that much mischief - honest!

The only naughty thing I've done is messed up Scott's
hair.It's so perfect that it just drives me mad,so I
went to fluff it all up and Scott bit me.He wasn't happy!

I got in trouble with the record company because I
didn't want to do something at a photo shoot a couple of

I was sent to my room once and I remember being gutted
'cos Brookside [BRITISH SOAPIE, RIGHT?] was on and I
wanted to watch it,so I rushed the stairs only to meet
my dad at the bottom.I ran so fast back up
those stairs,believe me!

Only in certain bars and things,but not really.It can
make things a bit difficult,of couse,because I'm only 16
- that's why I'm always trying to make sure that my age
doesn't appear in too many magazines,otherwise my secret
would be well and truly out!Doh,too late!
