Besides  these  20  souls  there were 32 from Raasay who are  not  included  in this list as their expenses was defrayed  solely  by  their proprietor. 84 emigrants died during the voyage.

(The  Illustrated  London News, July 10th 1852;  has  an  article  headed  "Birkenhead  Emigration  Depot" with  a  drawing  of  the  "Borneuf" taking on board her passengers".)
