INCLUDED IN THE LIST OF EMIGRANTS WERE SOME PEOPLE WHO WERE NOT EMIGRANTS ASSISTED BY THE HIGHLAND AND ISLAND EMIGRATION SOCIETY.THEY ARE SHOWN AT THE END OF THE FAMILY LIST AS NO'S 423 A,B,C,D,AND E.THIS RECORD IS THE ONLY PROOF THAT THESE PEOPLE ARRIVED INAUSTRALIA BY THE "H.M.S. HERCULES" AND FOR THIS REASON HAVE BEEN LEFT ON THIS LIST. THE ONLY WAY TO MAKE THE S.A. RECORDS AGREE WITH THE HIES RECORDS IS TO INCLUDE BROOKS AND EVANS IN THE TOTAL.
