The episode begins in the gymnasium of the elementary school, where the entire population of the building was watching and listening to Aiden Avalon, who was giving a speech on egypt archeology. Sakura watches with amazement, thinking how good her dad is doing up there. As he continued to explain about the ancient tomb of Kofus (think that's right,) the bell rings and he dismisses the group. Afterward, Li and Zackery are talking with Aiden about egyptology, and Li asks some interesting questions. Aiden responses amaze Li and Zackery, then he suggests that they maybe stop by the university to see the ancient egypt display. Li is suprised, but then spin around in excitment. "All right! Ancient Secrets!" "Sakura's dad sure is amazing eh Li?" Li suddenly looks up, totally shocked, then looks right back at Zackery. "Sakura's dad?" "That's right. Our Sakura Avalon is this Professeur Avalon's daughter." Li then looks over to Sakura and Madison, who are waving to Aiden. As he waves back, Li becomes extremly frustrated.
Later that night, Kero is sitting on the floor in Sakura's room, playing Zylon Warriors. He suddenly lets out a cry of victory as he defeats a pink blob thingy (^_^), while Sakura walks over to Tori's room with a tray of food. He opens the door, which causes Sakura to become tongue tied when she sees Julian. "What do you want Squirt?" "Uhh . . .food . . .uhh . . .eating . . ."
Tori takes the food and thanks her, then he and Julian comment on the food. Tori then looks back at her and talks some more. "It's late. time for bed Squirt." And at this time, she's still tripping over her words. "Uhh . . .umm . . .oven . . ." The door closes, and she sighs to herself in a frustrated way.
"I just stood there!" Sakura is now in bed while Kero flies over to the light switch. "Ah, forget about it kid." He then flies over and says to himself that he has just one more level left until he wins the game. Sakura mentions that she has a music test the next day, and that she didn't practise enough for it. She then opens one eye and looks in Kero's direction. "Gee Kero, you're sure obessing over that game." "Yeah I know . . .but it's a good one, and just one more level . . ."
Later that night, all is quiet until the strike of midnight, when the bells in the clock tower start chiming aloud. Sakura suddenly wakes up and walks over to the window, followed by Kero, who asks why the bells are chiming. "I don't know . . .but bells don't just ring at midnight without a reason."
The next morning, Sakura wakes up and rushes out the door, complaining about her music test to herself. Kero wishes her a good day, then turns to his game, but then cries out in shock at what he sees on the screen. "NO DATA!? THAT'S IMPOSSIBLE!"
Later, a kid is at the front of the classroom, playing a recorder as the teacher plays a similar song on the piano. He tries his best to play with the music, and does an okay job. Sakura looks at her recorder and frowns. "I think I left some of my fingers at home." Madison simply smiles then tells her that all she has to do is breathe, and that she'll do fine on the test. Sakura gets called to the front of the class to perform her test, when Madison quickly reminds her to breathe. She then begins the test, but messes up a few times. Li is sitting at the back of the classroom, getting in a last minute practise before his test.
Outside later on, Madison and Sakura are discussing the music test. Sakura is wearing her gym clothes because it's her gym class. Near by, the boys are playing soccer. Two of them collide while triyng to get the ball. "I so blew my music test today, but only because I didn't practise. I'll do much better next time." "You're right." Back in the game, the goalie suddenly leaps forward to catch the ball before it goes into the net, which he succeeds at doing. Sakura suddenly looks up at the top of the stairs and sees Li walking by, playing his recorder. She frowns then looks back at Madison. "So he can walk and play the recorder at the same time. He still doesn't think I deserve to be a Cardcaptor." "Oh Sakura." Suddenly, one of the boys calls out at Li to warn him the soccer ball is flying toward his head. He reacts quickly, and jumps up, kicking the ball back to the field. It flies over very quickly and it goes in the net, shocking everyone. After a long pause, everyone suddenly applauds at his display of skill, and he reacts by smiling and scratching his head with the recorder.
That night at home, Aiden asked how everyone was doing in school. Sakura then asked Tori how his day was, and he replied with that he day was normal. Sakura became angry, so she slammed her fist and her glass of water against the coffee table and frowned. "Well not for me!" Tori looked up and aquired a strange look on his face. "Music tip Sakura; if you want to get better, practise." Aiden smiled as he agreed with Tori's words of wisdom. "You know, a little more practise wouldn't hurt."
Upstairs, Kero was once again playing his video game, trying to get back to the final level, where he saved at the night before. Near by, Sakura is sitting on a chair by her desk, practising her recorder. Kero suddenly cheers as he defeats the same pink monster as before. "I did it! and tonight, I'm gonna save." He pressed a button on the controller, letting the game know he wished to save. Sakura finished her song at the same time and smiled. "I did it!" She dropped down to the floor and Kero asked if she had already had the test. She nodded, but then said her dad and Tori suggested practisingm and that she wanted to surprise them. Kero mentioned to expect the unexpected, and she agreed before she and Kero went to bed.
The next morning, Kero cried out as there was once again no data on his game, knowing he had saved before they went to bed. Before Sakura could reassure him, she grabbed her backpack and ran out the door. Later, Madison asked if she was ready for the music test, which caused Sakura to stop in her tracks, wondering why Madison asked her that.
Later that day, the same kid is playing the same music on his recorder, as the music teacher was once again playing the music along with him. Sakura was still confused, when Madison asked if she practised. Sakura agreed, but then asked Madison if they had a music test the day before, which confused her. "Don't you remember? We had a music test yesterday and I blew it." Madison simply smiled. "Sakura, are you having strange dreams again?" "No! I'm not!" The boy finished, then the teacher called up Sakura to the front. She clarified she was there, then made her way up to the front. Madison quickly called out to Sakura, reminding her to breathe. Sakura nodded and continued to the front, unaware Li was giving her a strange look. She began playing her song, which this time around, she was able to perform flawlessly. Madison commented to herself that her dream didn't come true. Sakura finished, then stared at her recorder for a few minutes. "Wierd . . ."
"What do you mean deja vu?" Later, Sakura and Madison were talking again during gym class as the boys played soccer. "You know, like having the same conversation with someone before, but you didn't? And being in the same place you think you've been before, but haven't?" Sakura then looked over to the game and frowned. "I remember everything so clearly. Those boys over there . . ." She pointed to
the two boys as they collide while triyng to get the ball. "And there . . ." she then pointed to the goalie, leapt forward to catch the ball before it went into the net, which he succeeded at doing. Sakura then looked back at Madison and frowned again. "Next, Li will come by, and he'll score a goal." Madison looked up and then back at Sakura. "Well here he is on cue." Sakura looked up then frowned. "Wait, he's not playing the recorder today."
Li walked over to the two and stopped. "Sakura, do you notice anything strange happening today?" "Yeah! Do you know what's-" "Listen Sakura. No one but us notices that today is repeating itself. There's a Clow Card around." "Oh! Where?" "Can't you sense it? Boy you are pathetic." He walked over close to the two, then pointed up toward the clock tower, telling them it was there. Suddenly the soccer ball came flying at him again. as before, he leaped into the air to kick it, which sent it flying into the neck. His expression remain unchanged as Sakura frowned. "Boy, you're getting good at that."
Once again, the class cheered at Li's performance.
Later that night, Sakura and Madison were back at the tower, and Sakura leapt down from the trees. "I don't know about this one . . ." Madison lifted her camcorder to get a shot of Sakura in her "tinkerbell" battle costume. "You look great!" "If you say so Madison." "This costume's for undectected night flight." She then turned her camcorder toward the tower, where Kero was floating. "Sensing this card proves your powers are increasing Sakura." "Yeah well . . ." Madison then interrupted, telling the two the camera was ready to go. Sakura sighed in a depressed way, and Kero flew into the shot again. "Alright! Let's capture that card!"
Sakura flew toward the tower on her staff, which was currenly udner the effect of the Fly Card, while Kero followed close by. As they got closer, she narrowed her eyes, as she was able to sense the card. Suddenly, a wave of energy appeared and hit her, causing her to slow down. She asked Kero was was going on, only in a slowed down way. Kero told her time was slowing them down, when they suddenly froze. They suddenly began flying backwards rapidly, until they were back at the point when Madison was getting her camera ready. Sakura looked up, totally confused. "What just happened Kero?" "It's the Time Card. It's using it's power to keep us from getting to the tower." Madison once again commented that the camera was ready, and off they flew toward the tower once again. Kero explained to her about the card's powers, which included turning back time, but it could only do it one day at a time, and then once a day at midnight. Sakura quickly looked to the tower and gasped. "We've only got 15 minutes!" "Capture that card and fast!" As he said that, an hourglass is seen being turned over, causing the sans to fall into the empty section. The clock's hands suddenly sped up, and Kero called out that he was speeding up time. The clock struck midnight, and Sakura screamed out as the day resetted.
Once again that night, Sakura was standing on the ground as Madison was getting her camera ready. "You look great!" "Undetected night flight right?" "It's amazing how you just guess these things!" She turned her camera toward the clock tower, where Kero was like last time. "Living the same day three times in a row isn't fun. I would like to get on with my life now." "You're telling me. I have to keep taking the same music test." "You think Zylon Warriors isn't a test? Not everyone gets to the final level you know." "OKAY! I just know I can't stand taking the same music test ONE MORE TIME!" "Pathetic."
They looked to see Li dressed in his robes with his arms crossed. "Li. You got a bandage on your nose." He suddenly dropped his gaze, getting embarrased as Madison and Sakura commented that he must have missed the soccer ball. He suddenly regained his senses and pointed to the tower. "Look! there's an escaped card up there, and the only way to get it is to get another card to destroy that tower!" "No!" "Why not?" "Well Li, someone from town might get hurt. And people depend on that tower!" "Well have you got any better ideas?" "I know I've had a few setbacks, but i'm getting close to a breakthrough." Li closed his eyes and placed his hand to his face as he though for a moment. "Sakura, this is where my years of experience come in." She groaned, but then stopped to listen to him. "The card's in the clock tower right?" "Yeah." "And when you fly near it, time goes all wierd right?" "Yeah!" Sakura suddenly gasped, then ran off, followed by Madison and Kero. Li stood there and called out to her. "Wait! Where are you going?" "To capture a Clow Card!" Li groaned to himself, then looked back up to the clock tower, getting an idea of his own.
The three snuck into the clock tower, climbing the stairs up to the top where the large bells hung. Madison as usual, recorded Sakura as she and Kero climbed the large staircase. Outside on the roof, Li was twirling a grapphing hook, then released it as it launched toward the tower. It landed inside and grabbed the ledge. Near by, the Time Card was sitting on a large gear, holding an hourglass in his hands. Sakura suddenly appeared out of no where with her staff raised. "Time Card! Return to your-" she was suddenly stopped when Time used his powers to freeze Sakura in place. Madison panicked when Sakura said she couldn't move.
Suddenly, Li came crashing through the window, allowing Sakura to move. He landed on the ground, then looked upto her as she asked if he was okay. "Quickly! Use the Shield Card!"
Right!"
"Shield Card . . ." She held the card between her two fingers, and when it was in front of her face, she turned it so the image was facing away from her. She then tossed it out then began twirling her wand like a baton. "Protect us from the power of time!." After twirling it a little more, she brought it up with both hands and then when the card came around to be in front of her, she brought the wand down to slam the tip against the card. "Shield! Release and dispel!" A blusish-grey energy emitted from the card and swirled around, causing bubble like barriers to appear around Madison, Kero, Li, and Sakura, causing the affects of the Time Card's power to bounce right off of them. Sakura opened her eyes and commented that it worked, when suddenly time leapt up and headed for the window. Li rushed forward as the card began it's escape. "Time's flying- i mean, fleeing!" Sakura rushed over along with him, when he suddenly pulle dout his sword and placed his fingers against the blade. "Force, know my plight. Release the light! Lightning!" Two pieces of paper lit up and unleased a storm of lighting, striking Time's form. Sakura stopped beside him and looked to him shocked. "You backed me up!" Li smiled, then Kero flew over and told her to quickly seal the card. The form fell to the ground and landed on the railling of the tower. Sakura raised her staff and turned to the card. "Time Card! Return to your power confined!" She then brought her wand down, causing a card shaped energy to appear and swirl, causing the Time to burst into energy. As the energy flowed into the card shape, Madison taped it, commenting to herself that the situation was awesome. When the card was sealed, it flew away from Sakura and over to Li. He caught the card and smiled. "Hey!" Kero crossed his arms and closed his eyes, frowning. "The card doesn't always go to the one who sealed it Sakura." "But why?" "Hey, if I knew all the answers, you think I'd look like this? Sorry, the card belongs to Li now." "Okay . . ." Li just smiled at her, holding the card between his two fingers as a breeze blew by.
The next day, Madison and Sakura arrived at school hoping it would be another day. Madison then asked Sakura why she broguht the recorder, then mentioned they had a test first thing in English class. Sakura checked her backpack, then cried out in frustration as the clock struck the time which they had to go to class.
Comments:
This was an okay epsiode, nothing can beat The Third Element and Ice Breaker. We're glad Li is starting to give Sakura a little backup, even though it wasn't much. We didn't seem to like the fact that Li got the card instead of Sakura. However, we though it was funny that she had to go through the same day twice. Poor Sakura, and poor Kero. Anywho, that's all.
