The Maze Card is very mysterious and powerful, so it should not be underestimated. It has the ability to, of course, make mazes, then warp them at anytime. Sakura, Li, Madison, and Meilin faced it's power in episode 26, when they go to a shrine to buy magical amulets.
This is a very intelligent card, for when Sakura tried to use the Fly Card, it increased the height of the walls so she could not find the exit. When the Sword Card was used to make a path through the walls, they instantly grew back. The only way to escape this card is to find the exit of the maze, which because of the cards intelligence, makes this feat extremly difficult.
