The Shield Card serves as protection and not as a threat or weapon. It has the ability to create a bubble like shield around the object or person it is commanded to protect. This has proven to be a useful card on a few occasions.
Shield appears during Episode 11 in Madison's home. it forms a dome around a small jewellery box, but Sakurs summons Sword to break the shield, thus allowing her to capture it. When summoned, it creates a bubble like dome to protect what is commanded. This has come in handy during the battles with Time and Shot .
