Sakura and the Final Judgement PT. 1
"Jump!!"
Sakura, a ten-year-old girl from Tomeda, lunged over ten feet into the air,
passing over the streets of Tokyo.
How'd I get myself into this? Sakura though to herself, I'm just a
ten-year-old! Now I'm dealing with the Earthy Card?!
Sakura looked down, seeing Li, Julian, and Cerberus. Julian had fainted
because of the Earthy card.
Li was a direct decendant of Clow Reed, the creator of the Clow Cards, and
he held many elemental powers, which completely amazed Sakura.
Julian was Tori, Sakura's older brother's, best friend.
Cerberus was the guardian beast of the Clow Cards.
Before Sakura had sealed Firey not too long ago, Cerberus was a little bitty
animal with wings, which Sakura called Kero. But soon after Sakura had
sealed The Firey Card, Kero had returned to his true form, Cerberus.
Sakura hit the ground, and jumped again, narrowly missing another attack by
a huge rocksnake that Earthy had taken the form of.
CRASH!!
Earthy had ravanged Tokyo with a huge earthquake, cracking the buildings and
bringing huge rock pilars above the surface of the Earth.
Sakura landed again on the crumbling road, and jumped again.
What do I do? Sakura though, looking around for a clue to Earthy's
weakness.
CRASH!!
CRUMBLE!!
The huge rocksnake was directly behind her!
"Sakura!!" Cerberus yelled.
Sakura landed again, but the ground shifted under her, and she tumbled to
the ground.
"Sakura!!" Li yelped.
"Uhh..." Sakura moaned.
She opened her eyes. At first, everything was blurry. She narrowed her eyes,
and things began to come into focus.
Trees.
The ground around the trees wasn't so much as cracked.
The ground around the trees... Sakura thought.
Sakura winced, and got to her feet.
"Sakura!" Cerberus shouted, beginning to bound over to Sakura.
"Wait," Li said, "She's got a plan."
Sakura pulled out one of her eighteen Clow Cards, and held it up to her
face.
The Card showed the image of a beutiful woman with leafy vines traveling
down her body and up above her head.
"Wood Card!" Sakura called, "Entangle Earthy in vines! Release and dispel!"
Sakura tossed the card out, and hit it with her bird-head shaped wand.
Bright green lights pushed themselves out of the card, and formed the woman
depicted on the face of the card.
The woman flew at the huge rocksnake, trailing a huge vine. She flew around
the serpent, wrapping it up in the huge vine. The huge vine spouted leafy
branched, entangling the Earthy Card, restricting it's movements. Wood
spiraled downward, around Earthy, making more vines grow, completely
trapping Earthy.
"It worked!!" Sakura cheered, jumping up and down.
Sakura rushed up to the Earthy Card, and raised her wand.
"Return to your true form! Earthy!!" She cried, bringing her wand down.
A brilliant light flashed beneath the 'beak' of Sakura's wand, and formed a
small rectangle of light.
The huge rockserpent began to turn into streams of deep brown light,
spiraling into the light.
Suddenly, the huge rocksnake seemed to vanish, replaced by a woman dressed
in a long, billowing dress, and stones oin her shoulders and below her neck.
Her hair was roled into two big buns on either side of her head.
She also melted into streams of light, and was sicked into the small
rectangle of light.
The light dimmed, revealing the card. The card floated over to Sakura, and
landed in her hand.
She looked down at the card for a moment, and then turned back to the rest
of the group.
"We did it!" Sakura cheered.
"I get it." Cerberus said, "Earth with Wood is being held back. Sakura, you
know the Five Elements Theory?"
"What's that?" Sakura asked, confused.
"You-you didn't know?" Cerberus asked, shocked, "Then why did you use
Wood?!"
"Because the ground was fine where the trees were." Sakura replied, "I was
lucky they were there.
Cerberus thought to himself, and then said, "My selector's eye was right."
"Hoe?"
"Are you okay?!" Li asked running up to Sakura.
"Yeah!" Sakura replied, giddy, "Th-That's good." Li studdered, blushing.
"Thanks!"
"Sakura!!"
Sakura turned at the sound of her name to see her best friend, Madison,
running up to them.
"Madison! I caught all the cards!" Sakura cheered.
"Aaahhh! I just made a costume!" Madison moaned, "I can't beleive I missed
it! I'll regret this!"
"Uh..." Sakura said reluctantly, "Um.. I'll wear the clothes."
Madison's face lit up.
"Okay!"
"Say, why this look?" Sakura asked.
"Today is 'Congratulations for catching all the Cards'!!" Madison replied,
"I'm filing a momento of this day, so decie on a pose!"
The group had gathered at Tsukimine Shrine, the place where Sakura had
sealed the Maze Card, mainly so Madison could get a good shot of Sakura.
Miss Mikenzi stood nearby, watching the group.
"But Cerberus dosen't look too happy," Li said, looking over at Cerberus,
"Even though all the Cards are gathered."
Sakura looked over at Cerberus. His face was furrowed with worry.
"Yeah." Sakura agreed.
She looked over at Julian, who still had'nt recovered from the Earthy's
sudden attack.
"Julian still hasn't woken up yet." Sakura said to herself, looking back
down at the Earthy Card.
"That's right!" Madison exclaimed, "Have you written your name on Earthy?"
Sakura shook her head, "No, not yet."
"Then we'll make that our scene!"
Cerberus looked up at the full moon, and back at Sakura.
"Sakura," He said, "When you write your name on the Last Card, you'll have
completely sealed them all."
"Right." Sakura said, lifting a pencil to the card.
She sctatched her name on the bottom of the card.
"You should prepare." Cerberus said.
"What?" Sakura asked.
Miss Mikenzi stepped over to the group.
"The Final Judgement." She replied.
Suddenly, the cards flew out of the Clow Book, and began to fly around
Sakura and the rest of the group.
"The Cards!" Sakura gasped.
Julian suddenly flew off the bench he had been laying on.
"Julian?!" Sakura yelped.
Wing's sprouted from Julian's back, and slowly wrapped around him.
The rest of the group stared in amazement as the wings began to glow.
They, they pulled away from Julian.
But the figure inside of the wings was no longer Julian.
It was a young man, dressed in light blue Chinese robes and Japanese fuku.
He had a long, white braid that ran down his back, almost touching the
ground. Huge, angellic wings streached from behind his back, up, over his
head. His eyes stared evily down at Sakura, his face stern and stone-like.
"Wh" Sakura studdered, "Who are you?"
"Yue." Cerberus replied, "The Clow Cards other protector."
"This person is Yue?" Sakura asked, "What happened to Julian?!"
"Julian is Yue." Miss Mikenzi explained.
"WHAT?!"
"It's been a long time Cerberus." Yue spoke in a low, evil voice.
"You're careless." Cerberus said, "When I thought you were human, I couldn't
meet you directly."
"The first time I met you was at the school play, and the presence of the
Moon was the strongest, but," Cerberus motioned to Miss Mikenzi, "This
sister was nearby and noticed."
"Other than I, another Guardian of the Clow was created. Yue, the name of
the moon in Chinese. This sister knew too."
"Before, at the school play, I heard the same thing. I know, and I also have
a relationship." Miss Mikenzi explained.
"You were in on this with Yue?!" Cerberus accused.
"No." Miss Mikenzi replied, "This is the first time we've met."
Sakura looked from Cerberus, to Yue, to Miss Mikenzi.
"Just a second!" Sakura cried, "I don't get this! What do you mean!?!"
Yue floated closer to the group.
"I'm the same as Cerberus." Yue hissed, "I didn't have enough power to
return to my true atate, so I stayed in that state."
"Then Julian is..." Madison began.
"Yue's other form." Li finished.
Yue looked down at Sakura.
His eyes narrowed.
"The Selector Cerberus chose the next candidate for the Clow Card Master."
Yue announced.
"Julian?" Sakura asked.
Cerberus jumped infront of Sakura.
"What're you going to do to Sakura?!" He yelled.
"Just as ever." Yue sneered, "Naive."
"And your personality is as bad as ever." Cerberus growled.
Sakura pushed herself infront of Cerberus.
"Wha-What do you mean 'Waht is he going to do to me'!?" Sakura shouted, "I
caught all the cards, so I stopped the disaster, right?"
"Once you've caught all the cards," Cerberus explained, "There's the Final
Judgement."
Sakura looked around, and realzed something.
It's the same as the dream I had today! She realized.
"Cards made by Clow," Yue said, looking at Sakura the whole time, "The one
you desired as a new Master is here.
"The girl chosen by the Selector Cerberus, by the name of Sakura.
"Is this girl a suitable new mistress?"
"I am the judge, Yue..."
"And this is the Final Judgement."
Sakura stared up at Yue.
"The Final...Judgment?" She asked.
"If you win with the sealed cards against Yue," Cerberus explained from
behind her, "You'll become the new mistress of the Clow Cards!"
"And if you are the new owner of the Clow Cards," Yue hissed, "You won't
easily lose to the Clow Card's protector."
"LOOK OUT!!"
A figure cloaked in shadows sat upon a huge building, stareing down at the
group.
"Be careful, Sakura. You don't yet know the extent of Yue's powers."
The figure looked back down as the Final Judgement began.
