Gettin' Dreamy With *N Sync

If you think you're the only one who has problems trying to remember your dream from the night before, the *N Sync guys are here to tell you that your not alone! It's true that pretty much everyone from the North Pole to the southern reaches of Tasmania, Australia dreams each and every time they doze off into la la land. It's also true that not being able to fully remember everything you dreamt, however frustrating, is absolutely normal.

"I am really, really bad with dreams," 27-year-old groupmate Chris Kirkpatrick reveals to BB. "I mean, it's like maybe once a week that I'll vividly remember a dream. But when I do, especially when I first wake up, I totally remember everything."

That's because when Chris (or anyone, for that matter) first wakes up in the morning, the last dream he had probably happened just minutes, if not seconds, before he awoke, so it's still pretty fresh in his mind. And when that happens to this braided babe, Chris' inquisitive mind goes into overhaul. "I was a psychology major in college," he says, "so I am always into figuring out what they mean. I can always tell every time I have a dream why I had it. Like the other night, I dreamt that everything I touched turned to gold because we just got a check for $200. For some reason, the littlest thing will happen and I will dream about it. I blow everything up in my mind."

Unfortunately, as Lance Bass tells it, his mind seems to forget everything. "I have the worst memory in the world," the 19-year-old claims. Not only does Lance reveal to BB that he has a hard time trying to remember his dreams, "I even forget the words to our songs," the southern sweetie blushes.

However, during Lance's latest one-on-one interview here at BB HQ, he met some super-cosmic streak of luck, because for one of the first times in a long time he could remember what he had dreamt about the night before! "It was with somebody famous," Lance thinks back, speaking in a stream-of-consciousness sort of way. "I forgot who it was. Who was it? You know how dreams just totally go from one thing to the other? It was like one of those dreams where we were on the beach, but somehow it turned out we we're in New York. There was somebody that I knew, some celebrity person, like one of our friends who was with us. I think it was one of the members of No Mercy and we were in Miami, Florida doing a concert."

Considering how people often dream about events going on in their own lives, whether they be in some cryptic form or not, it makes perfect sense for both Chris and Lance to have dreamt about their careers-after all, thats the life dream their living out every day! So why in the world is Joey fatone dreaming about school? "The other night, I actually had a dream that i was in college and I got locked out of my classroom," Joey, 21, says with wonderment. "It was weird and everything was all jumbled and mixed up."

Perhaps Joey had his dream because: a. He misses school and his friends there; b. He's concerned about being late for something; c. He has a fear being locked out-or left out. Regardless if any of these are true, no one can indisputably uncover the mystery of Joey's college dream or any dream for that matter. thats what makes them all so fascinating.

"I probably remember one out of 15 dreams," JC Chasez,22, figures. "It isn't that many. Some of my friends, they say they can remember one every night, but I'm just like , 'How?"

Perhaps "I Want You Back" warbler JC just has so much going on in his active brain- lyrics, dance moves and what-have-you--that it's harder for him to focus on the dreamy details more so than it would be for, say, his relaxed buddies back home. Also, many people go through periods where they are able to remember a dream each night for several days in a row and then suddenly nothing will come to them for months at a time. So, JC, don't feel bad, you ARE dreaming, you're just going through a dream detail right now.

Well, by the way Justin Timberlake instantly smirked when asked if he'd been able to remember any of his dreams lately, you'd think this big tease just had a really secrative and juicy one that he couldn't tell anyone about. "I keep having this recurring dream about Carmen Electra," Justin,17, teasingly laughs. Whadda joker! "No, I'm kiddding, I'm kidding!" the blond babe retracts. "I don't remember my dreams a lot, either. I can't think of one. There have only been a couple of instances where I've had a dream and I wanted to remember it to tell somebody and I totally forgot it." Nothing to worry about there- it happens to the best of us!
