The idea for this one came from trying to build another ship in the AFS series using the Enterprise-E as a starting point. The saucer, lower primary hull, engines, and front engine boom came from the Enterprise-E.
The rear hull and various detailing bits came from the Klingon
Attack Cruiser. The instrument pod and rear engine boom came from the Runabout.
The original idea was that the instrument pod could be replaced with different mission pods, or a large size scout vessel; none of which have been built yet.
The
model was painted with a
base color of
Intermediate Blue with highlights in Light Gray and Wine Red.
