Pierce Brosnan is the latest Bond actor, he was born on May 16, 1953, in Navan, County Meath, Ireland. He moved to London, England shortly after in 1964. He was well known for his role in the T.V. series Remmington Steele which debuted in 1982. This show was too be canceled and he was to take over the role of Bond after Roger Moore after A View To Kill, but in the last moment they decide to keep Steele on for another year. Because of this he had contract restrictions preventing him from doing the role of Bond, therefor Timothy Dalton got to do it. Bond's late wife Cassandra Harris was an Australian actress who also portrayed the role of a bond girl in For Your Eyes Only, she played Countess Lisl. His first Bond movie was Goldeneye which he did in 1995, I thought it was a very good Bond film. He had recently done Tomorrow Never Dies which I thought was quite good, with all the action content. He has a contract requiring him to do two more Bond films.
