Welcome to the Nile C. Kinnick High School Naval Junior Reserve Officers Training Corps (NJROTC) Unit Homepage. Located on the main island (Honshu) of Japan. Yokosuka Naval Base, is the home of the foreward deployed aircraft carrier USS Kitty Hawk (CV 63) and the 7th fleet flagship the USS Blueridge (LCC 19). The NJROTC program here at KHS started in 1995 and was ran by their former NSI CDR Nichols, USN (ret). Today the unit is run by the Cadet Staff Corps and their SNSI LCDR Kevin S. Mode, USN (ret) and NSI PH1 Omar Hasan, USN (ret). The Cadet Commanding Officer (CO) of the unit for the 2003-2004 school year is c/LCDR Ervin Mercado. The Executive Officer (XO) is c/LT Robert Fabionar.
