We don't get to see the events as they unfold -- just as they are remembered twenty years later. Through Nick Fury, Logan got a copy of the S.H.I.E.L.D. files concerning him from the NSA computers (over fifty thousand pages of documentation and an equal number of photographs, diagrams, charts, maps and EKG printouts). When the records were accessed, it sent up a flag that has been placed on the NSA computer banks by Hydra back in 1972. To Logan's annoyance, the file contained large amounts of information about Project X (as the Weapon X program was referred to) but, as he put it "precious little about my personal past." |
The Hydra operative that had flagged that file? None other than Silver Fox - romantic interest in what few memories Logan did still have - and who at the point of time of this issue, Wolverine still believed to be long dead. Like Logan, Silver Fox had been a member of 'The Old Team' and had her memories messed with as well. The only physical implant on Silver Fox that I've found reference to was the one that suppressed her age as well as that of the other members of the team. The only team member that came by his age suppression naturally was apparently Logan. What all do we learn, time-wise? That by 1972, the Old Team had gone their seperate ways into the general population and that Silver Fox had moved into a position of power within Hydra by that point in time. |
