Conceptual Models

Conceptual models provide a distinctive frame of reference. They are "A coherent, internally unified way of thinking about..events and processes." (Kenney, 1999)

Nursing theories are a simplification of reality and include concepts that the author finds relevant. Theories and concepts are to be used as guiding tools for critical thought process when seeking solutions.
