A bit about the Silvia Guru. The Silvia Guru was just an ordinary
guy until one day he was in a bookshop and he had a religious experience.
He picked up a car book and opened it to the Nissan/Datsun section and
he had a vision, there in front of him was a photo of the most beautiful
car he had ever seen. According to the caption it was a "Nissan Silvia
1600 Coupe". From that moment on he knew his destiny, he had to have one
of these Silvias. Eventually he found one of these fabled treasures. He
got it home and started to restore it, sacrificing large quantities of
cash and the skin off several of his knuckles to appease the Silvia deity
that now sat in his garage. But this was not enough, he soon found another
Silvia and bought that back home, he then unearthed another Silvia and
bought it back to the now rather crowded "Temple of Silvia" that had now
materialized under his house. Silvia Guru's father was also powerless to
resist the lure of the Silvia, he too was converted to "Silvia-ism", he
bought his own Silvia shortly afterwards.
Since that fateful day when
he was enlightened to the world of Silvia, the Silvia Guru has devoted
his life to Silvias. Endless research has been carried out in the quest
for knowledge about the rare deity that is Silvia. He has spoken endlessly
to other Silvia devotees around the world and has tried to convert many
non-believers to the ways of Silvia. He has devoted his time to collecting
Silvia bibles (workshop manuals, parts catalogs, etc.) and assorted writings
and scriptures (magazine articles, books, etc.), and also collecting other
religious artifacts (models, miniatures, etc.). The Silvia Guru has spent
much of his time sharing his knowledge with the other Silvia faithful from
around the world, he has written this web-site and has compiled a book
about the Silvia (the "Nissan Silvia Resource Book", click
here for details) to help share that knowledge. And now the Silvia
Guru is gracious enough to offer this personal service to all Silvia owners,
and to anyone wanting more information about the Nissan Silvia CSP311.
