IDENTIFICATION            Twin carbs. Alternator. Side strips start just behind the front wheel arches, grille has 3 wide horizontal bars, chrome strip handle on boot lid, key hole is just above the number plate. Soft top folds down behind the seats. Dash has 2 large round guages and 5 smaller guages. Bonnet badge is undividual letters that spell  'D-A-T-S-U-N', side badge says 'Fairlady' on very early cars, most cars have 'Datsun 1600' badges, rear badge says 'Datsun 1600'. Seperate chassis, cam and lever steering box, double wishbone front suspension, front sway bar, leaf spring rear suspension, telescopic shock absorbers, disc brakes on front wheels, drum brakes at rear.
