Well hello everyone. I was in Las Vegas, Nv for 6 days. I enjoyed the trip very much. The weather was good, the people were nice and I had a wonderful time. I visited the Hoover Dam, The Grand Canyon, The Ethel Chocolate Factory and many of the hotels located on the famous Las Vegas "Strip".

Day 1: Rides at the Sahara Hotel. This was the hotel I was staying at. Speed the ride is amazing. (SPEED utilizes electromagnetic force to accelerate the coaster to top speeds almost instantaneously. SPEED begins inside the NASCAR Cafe, where an extraordinary force slingshots SPEED out of its launch site and over its first hill. A steep drop follows as passengers travel 25 feet below the surface through an underground tunnel before propelling them back above the ground and then through a breathtaking loop. The coaster then accelerates from 35 M.P.H. to its fastest speed of 70 M.P.H. in just 2 seconds, as it zips through the Sahara's 192-foot-tall marquee before curving around the porte-cochere and up a steep incline - - stopping 224 feet above the ground. SPEED then carries passengers through the same exhilarating path in reverse.)

And also the NASCAR ride. At the NASCAR Cafe in the Sahara Hotel and Casino, car racing fans can turn their high-speed driving dreams into reality. You have real size NASCAR'S and you race against each other by viewing the race track on a 20 foot screen. The movements are real and it isn't as easy as it looks.

I walked south on the strip and visited many of the hotels. By the time I got to New York New York my legs were killing me. It's about 4 miles from my hotel. I ended up getting a ride (bike carriage ride) half way to my hotel to The Bally's Hotel Casino Resort but I had another 2 miles to walk. Well I made it to my hotel but it was worth it. Seeing the hotels, lights and the city come to life. A buffet dinner at the Sahara finished the night off.

Day 2: 7:30 am tour left for The Hoover Dam. Drove through Boulder City and Henderson, Nevada. I took a Discovery tour at the Dam, saw amazing views and saw the 8 generators that function 500 feet below the base of the Dam. Learnt many things about the Dam itself and the surrounding areas of The Hoover Dam. Buffet lunch at a hotel and visited The Ethel Chocolate Factory. Monday night went to the World's Greatest Magic Show at the Sahara. Length 1 hour 30 minutes. This show is a must.

Day 3: 6:30 am tour left for The Grand Canyon. Stopped in William's, Arizona had lunch. This town is home to The Railway Station in William's. Visited a Indian store in Kingman, Arizona and still had 2 hours ahead of ourselves. The Grand Canyon is amazing. The views were great. I was at the south rim of the Canyon which is at 7,000 feet. Looking down in the Canyon was breath-taking. I spent about an hour and a half there because we had a 5 hour drive to get back to Las Vegas. By 5 pm it was pitch black to the extreme. I couldn't believe how dark it was. On the way back to Las Vegas we had stopped twice for breaks. The day was long and I had a great time. Time arrival at the Sahara was 11:30 PM. What a long day.

Day 4: Well today started out to be messy. It rained all day. But that was all right. There was so much to do inside. So I headed down to MGM Grand. Many different stores, and if you like stuffed animals a visit to "The Rain Forest Cafe" is a must. Lunch at the Coyote Cafe in the MGM Grand was great. Try their Brazilian Daiquiri. I ended up going to the tiger den. I was able to hold and feed a baby tiger. View the photo of the baby tiger (Willow) below. I went to the New York, New York hotel and just walked around and had a good time. After many hours at different hotels I went back to my hotel and played the slot machines. I had fun played for about 3 hours. I went to the Last Comic Standing Live show and that was a blast. Soon enough it was 12:00 am and my night was over.

Day 5: A visit to The Mirage Hotel "The Habitat" was amazing. The Dolphins, The Tiger's and Lion's. The tour let's you walk around freely and view the animals. (View the 2 photo's below). For the rest of the day walked around and shopped. That night I went Downtown Las Vegas and watched a light show. It involves 500,000 lights and a big sound system. The light show was about the size of 2 football fields. Later that night I went to the Stratosphere Tower. The Tower is 1,149 feet and has 3 rides on top. The rides were amazing. The Roller Coaster, The Big Shot and X-Scream. View the photo of the tower below. That was my trip 6 days in Nevada and Arizona. It was so much fun I would go back again for sure.
