Alright the CFL season is going to be starting up again this year. And yes of course Montreal is still around and they plan on kicking some ASS again like what they did last year.

Montreal won the Grey Cup in 2002. It's the first time in 25 years. It's about time don't ya think?

Anyway here is what happend since 2001.

2001 and the Grey Cup in Montreal

In 2001, the City of Montreal was the host of the Grey Cup game which was played in front of a sell-out crowd of 65,255 spectators at Olympic Stadium. The Montreal Alouettes, in partnership with the city and its business leaders, essentially held a week-long, first-class entertainment spectacle, crowning the return in full force of football in Montreal and in Quebec.

A fifth Grey Cup

In 2002, led by the best CFL coach of all-time Don Matthews, the Alouettes won their fifth Grey Cup, and first in 25 years, when they defeated the Edmonton Eskimos 25-16 in their home, Commonwealth Stadium. The victory earned owner Bob Wetenhall his first Grey Cup since he took over in 1997. Quarterback Anthony Calvillo was named the game's Most Valuable Player and receiver Pat Woodcock was selected the top Canadian Player with a Grey Cup-record 99-yard touchdown reception.

Montreal played in this years Grey Cup (2005) in Vancouver against Edmonton but they lost 38-35. Hope they will win next year. See you in 2006.

Well Montreal did very well at the start of the season and then they went into a slump. They are in the playoffs but come on, Montreal lost many games in the last few weeks/months.

I am going to the game today. October 21st and it should be good. I got good seats and will wear my jersey 13 QB. Hope Montreal wins the grey up this year, also Don Matthews has left the team.
