slight Return: BAND PROFILE
slight Return is a Halifax, NS based band who formed in 1997, before changing thier lineup in 1999. Some of the bands that have influenced slight Return's original material include Sunny Day Real Estate, Radiohead, Braid, and North of America.
The band has played many successful gigs at several clubs around the Halifax Metro area, (see list below) performing regularly at The Pavilion. In June of 1999, the band recorded a five song demo EP at Soundpro Studios, entitled The Peril of Aries. This CD which is currently available for sale at the Spring Garden Rd. location of HMV, is reflective of the bands old sound. More recently, slight Return contributed a new song to the ‘Harbour Mix' compilation CD released by Curiosity Records in May 2000. The group enters the studio in January 2001 to begin work on a full length record.
