Enjoy, and feel free to give me any artistic advice, comments, or questions you might have
concerning the works you see here.
Gun Totin'
I'm not sure what the purpose of this work was (particularly the fact he's holding a gun) even though I completed it not that long ago.
I had not done a monochromatic pencil peice in a long time and wanted to see if my skills in shading, texturing, and all around
composure of humanoid figures had improved any. I think the answer to that is a definite "yes".
Brooklyn/Gargoyle wereside
This is about as good a quality as I can produce with the outdated imaging program I'm using. It represents a side of me that has been
around almost as long as my wolf side, but which I'm reluctant to call a "wereside" because it rarely shows up. And yes, I know it
looks like Brooklyn from Disney's Gargoyles series, but it doesn't look exactly like that when I dream of it. I just think Brooklyn
looks cool.
Amaris
Bluewolf/Amaris asked me to do this portrait of him as a werewolf. He wanted it to be similar to to an older pic I did of him, but in
the old pic his fur was blue and he said that blue wasn't his actual fur color, he just wanted it done that way because according to
him the moonlight would make his brown fur look as if it were blueish...Okay dude, whatever you say... I like the way it turned out,
but I think I might've done better had I used the same technique I used for the first one.
Dreadlocks
No real significance to this work other than...um...Well, he has hair like ICP used to have, or something. I think it turned out okay.
But I really should find a more up to date image program to use from now on. I might take the inked sketch of this and re-color it
when I finally do.
Bluewolf
This is the original portrait Bluewolf/Amaris asked me to do. Personally I think it's the better of the two, for it's originality in the
fur color if nothing else. Maybe I should use the technique I used here more often. He saw my pic of Red Paw and like the style of it, so
he wanted me to do a pic of him in a similar style only computerized instead of hand painted. It was a good challenge, artistically.
DarkWolf
I did this as a surprise for an old friend. She liked it alot. I did this one not long before Bluewolf's, and some aspects of the styles
of both works are very similar. Now that I've improved my graphical skills since then, a remake of the idea for this work is in order.
Monochromatic Wolf Face
For a project I did for grade 12 Art. The name of the project was "Who Am I?". The idea of the project was to look within ourselves and
create works of art based on how we see ourselves. Being a therianthrope, that part wasn't too difficult for me, and the project went well.
I decided I should have one monochromatic peice in there to compare how I approach monochromatic art as opposed to full-color. The wolf
represents me internally (spiritual and mental), and the braided, beaded hair which has become almost my trademark at school, along with the
choker which I wear quite often now, represent me externally (what most people notice about me first when they look at me).
