It has been two years since Sakura Avalon and her comrades captured all the cards, and since she transformed them all into Sakura Cards. She and the others were lviing peacfully until the Kayo Gems appeared in Reidenton. She and Li immediatly jumped back into action to take on this new threat, which Ceaira Syona must take on. Sakura feels she can help Ceaira some by helping to understand the hardships of getting back what was accidentally released from the Kayo Chest. Sakura's powers have grown a great deal, and she knows by not fighting, the world could suffer.
Role in GemCaptor Chronicles
Sakura is the Mistress of the Clow Cards, but her greatest power lies in the Sakura Cards created when she was eleven years old. She has a huge crush on Li, but is afraid to tell him in fear that he will reject her. She is captain of the high school volley-ball team, and still hates math. However, because Clow Reed and Clow Kayo were brothers, she is able to claim Kayo Gems like in Episode 8, when she recieved the Rain Gem. Sometimes she and Ceaira switch powers in order to successfully capture one of the gems, but this causes Sakura to claim them in this way as well.
