CardCaptors
The GemCaptor Chronicles

Last time on CardCaptors . . .

Welcome to the Museum of Entomology and Arachnology.”
Last time, Ceaira’s class went on a field trip, where her friends began to question her behavior when they went to observe the tarantula’s.
     "Can we p . . .p . . .p . . .p . . .possibly look at some other bugs to start out?"
After arriving home, Ceaira became depressed for she felt it was her fault that her sister died. Tori then called and the two went out for ice cream. On the way home however, Ceaira ran into a strange woman who used a magical triangle, to cause a giant spider to appear and head straight for her.
     “NOT THAT!”
After becoming trapped in a web, Li and Sakura came to the rescue. However they to fell to Illusion’s powers. Just as Ceaira was about to give up, Aquilia stepped in and gave her important advice.
“Nightmare loves showing the fears of the victim! It may just work against Illusion!”
The effects didn’t seem to work for a while but when they finally kicked in, Illusion became screaming and shouting out the name Sabaki.      “She’s come to get me!”
Ceaira used the opportunity to seal the gem, but now something else plagues her inner mind. Who is Sabaki?
“I may never be able forget what happened . . .mom, Hannya . . .I’m so sorry that I caused both of you to die . . .”
And will she ever recover from the deaths of her mother and sister?

Episode Twelve

Gliding on the Wings of Truth

Ceaira was laying in the middle of what appeared to be a roof as a great deal of rain poured down from the sky. Thunder and lightning crashed down all around her as well, but she remained lifeless. Finally, her hand began moving toward her, as did the other. She opened her eyes and lifted herself off of the ground. “Where am I . . .” She looked around, seeing that she was on top of the roof of a mysterious shrine. Shivering, Ceaira crossed her arms and stepped forward and looked around once more. As her gaze studied the shrine area, she suddenly stopped when she saw a shadowed figure standing against the lightning’s light each time it crashed down, on the roof of another building nearby. The being had long hair, wings which seemed to resemble those of a dragon, and in the right hand, a spear could be made out. “Who is that?” Ceaira’s face showed confusion as she continued to watch the being, who remained perfectly still as it’s hair blew in the wind. As the scenery seem to fade all around her, her final action was tossing a Kayo Gem into the air, and bringing up her crossbow to target it.
“CEAIRA WAKE UP!” Aquilia made her best attempt at pulling her out of her bed by the strap of her tank top, but Ceaira seemed to remain asleep. “Ceaira . . .it’s 11 AM, it’s Saturday morning, and I WANT A CUPCAKE!” Ceaira shook her head in her sleep as she made a strange face. Rolling over onto her side, she pulled her pillow over her head as she mumbled to herself. Aquilia flew over to land on top of the pillow, then made a curious face as she looked around. She suddenly smiled as she got an idea. Flying up off of the pillow, she hovered in the air as she took a deep breath. “CEAIRA! THERE’S A KAYO GEM ON THE LOOSE! GET UP SO YOU CAN SEAL IT!” Aquilia suddenly cried out as Ceaira threw her pillow at her. She collided into the wall, then fell toward the ground. “Ouch . . .”
Rolling over onto her back, Ceaira slowly rose from her bed with a extreme look of fatigue and confusion. Staring off into space, she blinked slowly as she attempted to wake up. “Who are you . . .” After a pause of silence, Aquilia slowly flew back up off of the floor, and over to Ceaira. She landed on the covers of her bed and cleared her throat. “Umm, I’m Aquilia, the Guardian Beast of the Stars and of the Kayo Chest?” Ceaira became even more confused. She rubbed her eyes, then looked around to find herself back in her bedroom. Letting out a sigh of relief, she laid back down, but cried out. “Where’s my pillow!?” “You threw it at me . . .” “What? Oh, sorry Aquilia. I didn’t mean to.” “So who were you talking to?” “What do you mean Aquilia?” “Well, after I got hit, you said ‘Who are you’. What are you talking about?” “Oh, well, it’s like this . . .”
Just as Ceaira was about to explain, the door opened and Misuteri walked in. He had a warm smile on his face as he showed Ceaira a list filled with writing. “Good morning my little magician.” “Morning dad.” “Hello Misuteri.” “And good morning to you too Aquilia. Ceaira, I have to work at the museum until much later tonight, so would you be able to run some errands for me?” “Sure. Mind if I go later this afternoon after it warms up?” “Okay Ceaira.” “Thanks dad.” After Misuteri left the room, Ceaira climbed out of bed and stretched her arms to the sides as she headed for the closet. “I’ll tell you about that question later, okay Aquilia?” “Sure Ceaira.”
“So doctor, what’s wrong with me?” Julian sat in a cushioned chair as the doctor leafed through the papers on his clipboard. Clearing his throat, he looked up at Julian and frowned. “I’m sorry Julian, but I can’t find anything that would cause these memory gaps or your increased, yet unsatisfied appetite. It’s very peculiar.” “So what should I do?” “I honestly couldn’t say. Umm, don’t try to eat as much as you think you have to . . .and write down each time you have a memory gap.” “Okay sir.” “That’s all I guess. Can you send in the next patient on your way out please?” “Okay.”
Julian stood up, then bowed to the doctor before leaving the room. He walked down the hall, then motioned for the next patient to go in. He then left the building and began walking down the street. “These memory gaps are getting serious. They seemed to start after that archery competition two years ago . . .and the most recent one was at just a couple of weeks ago . . .”
Julian sighed to himself, then continued his walk down the street. “Why does dad have to buy so much food all at once? More to the point, how does he manage to carry so much every week?!” Ceaira stumbled down the street toward him, attempting to carry five large bags of groceries at once. Julian smiled, then walked up to her knowing she wouldn’t be able to see anything. “Hey Ceaira!” “Huh? Julian? Is that you?” Ceaira stopped, hoping to get some kind of conformation as she attempted to balance the grocery bags in her arms. “Yeah. Just what the heck are you trying to prove Ceaira?” “What are you talking about Julian? I’m not trying to prove anything!” Julian couldn’t help but laugh at her comment. He quickly calmed down, then removed one of the grocery bags so she could see him. “Then explain why you’re trying to carry five bags of groceries?” “Oh this! I’m trying to get the groceries home, then I’ve got some other errands I have to run. It’s gonna be a long Saturday . . .” “Do you want any help?” Ceaira’s mouth seemed to drop open at Julian’s request. He smiled again, then reached out to take two more bags of groceries. “You’re offering?” “I don’t see why not. You and Tori are am item so I think it would be nice of me to help my best friend’s girlfriend.” “Hmm, good point Julian.” Smiling back, Ceaira shifted the remaining bags until she had a better grip, then nodded to Julian to show she was ready. “Let’s get going.” “Okay.”
The two nodded, then began walking down the street. They remained silent for a minute before Ceaira finally decided to speak up. “So how have you been Julian?” “Not too well . . .” “Oh? What’s wrong?” “Well . . . it’s silly. You would probably laugh.” “Let me be the judge of that. Come on, what’s up?” “Well, how about we sit down and talk about it? We can go to that café that’s not too far from here.” “Sure. Isn’t that where Tori works?” “That’s right. Let’s try and convince him to take his break with us. Sounds good?” “You bet!” Ceaira nodded, causing Julian to smile as the two continued to walk down the street.
“This place sure is busy today . . .” Tori frowned to himself as he received a tray full of drinks. After being told where to go, he nodded and began heading over toward a table full of talkative adults. “At least it’s a job I’ve been able to keep, and it puts money in my pocket during college, and for taking Ceaira out.” Once he got to the table, he handed everyone their drinks, collected the money including his tip, then headed back over to the counter. “Here you go sir.” “Thanks Tori. Two people just sat over there, why don’t you go see what they would like.” “Sure.” Pulling out a small notepad and pencil, Tori cleared his throat and walked over to the newly occupied table. “Can I take your order please?” “One boyfriend please.” “And one best friend.” “Huh?”
Looking up from the notepad, Tori saw Ceaira covering her mouth as she tried not to giggle, while Julian was hitting table with his hand as he laughed uncontrollably. Tori gave them both an odd look, but then smiled as he leaned over to hug Ceaira. “What are you two doing here?” “Thinking the three of us should all have supper!” “Yeah.” “Hmm, okay give me a minute to tell my supervisor I’m taking my break now. You both want anything?” “Yeah, but I’ll just have a small plate of fries cause I won’t be able to stay long. I have to take these groceries home later.” “And I’ll have a burger and fries so I can help her.” “Okay, just add my own order here . . .alright. Be back in a few minutes.”
Julian and Ceaira nodded, then Tori left. After Ceaira calmed down, she looked back toward Julian and frowned. “So what’s wrong with you?” “Well, lately I’ve been having these strange memory gaps . . .they started about two years ago after I won an archery competition. Ever since then, I seem to be fine one minute, but then I’ll black out and recover only to be somewhere else.” “Freaky.” Ceaira frowned, then sighed just as Tori walked over with their food. Sitting down, he passed the orders out and took his own. “Thanks Tori. Julian was telling me about these memory gaps he’s been having lately.” “Yeah, and not only that, but my appetite is increasing.” “Like it wasn’t big enough already Julian?!” “I don’t know what you’re talking about Tori, but I will go and eat all this food, but I will still be hungry. It’s strange.” Ceaira frowned, then bit a french fry as she thought for a moment. “Hmm, I wonder . . .when is the right time to tell him about Yue? It’ll be hard for him to believe it because we don’t have any clear proof. But how would we tell him. ‘Yeah Julian? How are you? Listen, your memory gaps are caused by an angel winged guardian of the moon that goes by the name Yue. You transform into him whenever the Clow Mistress is in danger!’ That won’t work at all.”
Swallowing it, she picked up her glass of water. “Have you gone to see the doctor yet?” “Just this morning before I ran into you. He can’t figure out what’s wrong because there aren’t any reasons or symptom’s that should cause either of them.” “Major bummer.” “I know Ceaira. I wish there was a way to figure out what’s wrong with me.”
Ceaira nodded, then brought the glass to her face. As she drank the water, she began thinking again. “Hmm, maybe Madison has a video tape of Julian transforming into Yue. That would be the best evidence . . .no wait a minute. He would probably think it’s some trick editing. The only way is for him to see a gem capture, then show him a video . . .he can’t make logic from that.” Smiling, Ceaira placed the glass on the table and then snickered quickly to herself. When she looked up, Tori and Julian were giving her odd looks. “What’s with you? That sounded evil.” Ceaira panicked then waved her hands in front of her. “What?! No, it was nothing major! I was just thinking of a funny joke! That’s all!” “Oh, okay.” Tori looked at her oddly from the corner of his eye as he swallowed the last of his hamburger, then turned to Julian and frowned. “Well no matter what’s wrong, if you have another memory lapse, write it down and tell one of us. We might be able to figure it out.” “Tori’s right.” “Thanks you guys.”
Ceaira smiled, then ate the last french fry. Looking at her watch, she stood up from the counter and placed some money on the table. “Well, I’d love to stay, but I have to get these groceries home. I haven’t fed Aquilia yet today so I hope she isn’t cranky.” “Good point.” “I’ll give you a hand, okay Ceaira?” “Thanks Julian.” Julian smiled, then stood up from the table after putting a few dollars in with the total payment. Picking up three of the grocery bags, he handed them to Ceaira. After she got them he picked up the other two bags, and they walked off to head back to her house. Tori picked up the money and empty dishes, then walked back over to the counter. “Back to the slavery . . .”
“Thanks a bunch Julian!” Ceaira smiled at him as she placed the grocery bags she was carrying on the kitchen counter, while Julian did the same. Wiping the sweat from her forehead, she walked out of the kitchen and into the porch to hang up her jacket. “You want to see Aquilia?” “Sure. Isn’t that your budgie?” “Yeah. She’s very smart and can understand voice commands.” “Really?” “Yeah.” Walking back into the room, Ceaira smiled as she walked over to the stairs and leaned against the railing. Letting out a whistle, she waited a few moments before talking. “Aquilia! Come on down and greet our guest!” Ceaira then waited patiently for her to fly down, quietly tapping her fingers against the banister. Julian walked into the room, then looked up the stairs like Ceaira was doing. “Where is it?” “She should come in a few seconds.” “Okay.”
A few minutes later, they heard a quiet chirp as Aquilia flew down the stairs happily. Landing on Ceaira’s shoulder, she continued to chirp happily as she unfolded her wings to both sides. Julian laughed, then walked over and began tickling Aquilia under her beak. Ceaira made a nervous face, for she was afraid that Aquilia would start laughing and their cover would be blown. However when Julian stopped, Aquilia remained calm as she simply chirped with a greater happiness. Ceaira sighed to herself, totally relieved that the small guardian beast was able to resist so well. “Aquilia’s such a cute bird!” “I know. That’s why I got her.” Ceaira smiled once again, then patted Aquilia on the head. Liking it, she began chirping again. “She’s a cute bird. Well, I better get back to my apartment before it gets too dark.” “Good idea. Talk to you later Julian.”
Ceaira waved, then headed upstairs with Aquilia on her shoulder as Julian headed for, and left through the front door. When she knew he was gone, Ceaira placed Aquilia on the bed, then sat down at her desk. “So how was your day? Want me to tell you about that dream?” “Actually, I would prefer if we waited until we arrived back here.” “Huh?”
Narrowing her eyes, Aquilia flew over to, and looked out the window and up toward the colorful sky. “Just wait for it . . .” “What are we waiting for?” Ceaira stood up from the desk, then walked over to the window and sat down on a cushioned lid for a large box. Looking out the window as well, she scanned the sky. “It’ll appear in a few seconds . . .”
Just as Ceaira was about to ask another question, there was a loud screech as a giant shadow fell upon their section of the city. Looking up at the sky after opening the window, Ceaira gasped when she saw a giant, dark colored bird flying across the sky toward the city. “YIKES! What is that?!” “That Ceaira . . .is the Fly Gem.” “Are you serious?! That’s one of the most valuable powers!” “Right. We have to capture it.” Ceaira nodded, then rushed over to the closet and swung the doors wide open. Pulling her cell phone out of a small bag, she tossed it onto the bed, then pulled out her battle costume and boots. “Aquilia, the phone numbers of the others are on speed dial numbers 1, 2, and 7. Call them and ask for Sakura, Li, and Madison.” “Right!”
“Well, guess I should maybe take a nap . . .would be the best thing for me to do with these memory gaps . . .” Yawning and stretching his arms out, Julian walked over to a small couch and fell backwards to land on his back. He pulled a pillow over and shoved it under his head, then drifted off to sleep. The sliding door leading out to the balcony was wide opened, which caused the curtains to flap in the wind as the sky continued to darken. Stars came out, but he remained asleep.
Suddenly, Julian’s body became engulfed in a dim light as he began levitating up from the couch. Two wings appeared and wrapped around his body, then a small ring of light emitted throughout the apartment as the wings pulled away. Now Yue, he leaned forward and placed his feet on the ground. Walking out onto the balcony, he placed his hand on the railing as he looked out onto the glittering city. “I sense a strange power . . .it must be the Kayo Gems.”
As he thought to himself quietly, the giant shadow once again engulfed the city, soon followed by the dark bird soaring across the sky. Yue opened his eyes and gasped when he saw how big it was, then decided to give chase. Gripping the railing with his right hand, he pushed himself off the ground and leaped over the railing. Yue then expanded his wings and caught a gust of wing which allowed him to rise. “Let’s see which of the gems it is . . .”
As he chased after it, Yue looked down at the city and hoped to himself that no one could see him or the bird. His attention was suddenly grabbed when he saw Ceaira leaping from building to building with the aid of the Jump Gem, with Aquilia flying beside her. Sakura and Li were riding on the Star Wand as it remained under the influence of the Fly Card. Finally, Madison rode on the back of Keroberos, video taping the entire situation.
“Hurry before Fly escapes!” Gripping her crossbow, Ceaira kneeled down upon landing on another building, then used the added force to leap higher into the sky. After a few seconds, she managed to land on the back of Fly. It screeched in anger, then performed a barrel roll which caused her to fall off and toward the ground. “Ceaira!” Aquilia panicked, then covered her eyes with her wings. Yue gasped, then sped forward and grabbed Ceaira’s left hand. “Are you okay Ceaira?” Ceaira opened here eyes, then looked down toward the ground, stunned as to why she still wasn’t falling. Looking up, she saw Yue holding her by her hand as he carried her over to a nearby rooftop. “I think so. Fly seems to be smarter then we thought.” “So it’s the Fly Gem . . .”
Ceaira nodded, then dropped down onto the roof as Yue lowered her down toward it. As he landed beside her, Sakura and Li flew in on the Star Wand, while Keroberos landed last. Sakura’s new battle costume has two, pink colored metallic wings attached to a headband, with another metallic wing acting as a broach. She wore a blue tank top with two metallic shoulder pads, black wrist bands, black ankle high boots with small heels, purple pants which stopped at her knees, and a black belt with a gold colored buckle around her waist. Sakura frowned, then walked over toward the edge of the building and looked out onto the city and toward Fly as it continued to circle the area. “Well, at least we know it’s a Kayo Gem. Fly wasn’t that aggressive when I caught it . . .”
The Fly Card’s form was massive as it flew over the trees and the city. Sakura confronted it in her pyjama’s, while also wearing her rollarblades. After summon her wand, Fly dove down toward her and Kero, causing her to panic. "Let's get out of here!" The two then sped away as quickly as they could as the large bird continued to chase after them from the air. "You've got to use your wand to capture it, Sakura!" After a few minutes, Sakura came up with an idea. She changed her direction and skated up the side of the wall, then leaped forward to land on Fly’s back. After getting a good grip, she tossed out the Windy Card and twirled her wand. “Release and dispel! Windy!” It’s form appeared next, causing streams of wind to swirl and wrap around Fly, causing it to fall toward the ground. Before the collision, Sakura leaped off and landed in front of the large bird as she twirled her wand again. “Fly Card! Return to your power confined!” Slamming her wand down, Fly bursted into energy as it flowed into a square prism, forming the card which floated into Sakura’s hand.
“Well this isn’t a Clow Card . . .so we need to approach this situation a little more differently, and very carefully . . .” Ceaira walked over to Sakura and looked toward the Fly Gem as it flew overhead once again. As everyone thought about a good plan, Madison suddenly slammed her right fist into her right hand and smiled. “I have an idea! Sakura, remember the battle with the Fight Card?” “Yeah . . .”
“Kero tell me quick, do you have any good ideas?” You need to call upon one of your stronger cards!” Sakura, Kero, and Madison carefully thought through the situation while fight was winning against Meilin as the two pitted their martial arts skills against each other. “Okay, but which one?” “The only way to win against the Fight Card is to fight!” “F-f-fight? Are you positive that there isn’t another option?” “Sakura you’re a CardCaptor remember? You do what you have to do!” As Madison watched the battle, she lowered her camera and turned toward Sakura with a serious expression on her face. “You did it with the Power Card before . . .” “Yeah!” Summoning the card, Meilin was thrown to the ground by Fight. As she raised her fist, a voice echoed from the sidelines. “Stop right there!” Fight looked up right before delivering her punch to see Sakura glowing a pink aura. Running forward, she tried to hit Fight with her wand, but she missed and accidentally slammed the wand against the ground. “AHH!” Totally shocked by the amount of power, she was caught off guard when Fight suddenly ran up fro behind her. Spinning around, she slammed the wand against Fight’s head. She collapsed to the ground, totally shocking Sakura.
“If it wasn’t for your idea Madison, then Meilin would have been finished off by the Fight Card.” “I think it’s an excellent plan.” Ceaira nodded to herself as she smiled to the others, but then became serious as she gripped her crossbow in her right hand. “As I said before, we need to approach the situation carefully. Sakura, you cast Power onto your wand, then throw it to me when I saw so. I’m going to need the power of Fly’s wings though, so I’ll summon Jump for you so you can get close enough. The Jump Gem has more power so you’ll be able to jump higher.” “Okay Ceaira.” Sakura nodded, then gripped her wand as she carefully ran through her head what she had to do. Ceaira smiled, then turned to Yue and gave a serious look. “Yue, you have to distract Fly with your magic while Sakura and I get in close enough. The rest of you remain here and stay safe okay?” “Sure.” Ceaira smiled again, then turned to Sakura who held the two necessary cards in her hands. “Ready Sakura?” “Let’s do it!”
She gripped a gem in her left hand, to reveal it’s image to be a green kangaroo at the peak of a jump. She then lowered the arm to the ground, then lifted it quickly as she tossed the gem above her head. She then held out her crossbow and left arm out in front of her and went into a spin as a sparkling navy blue energy surrounded her. “Jump Gem . . .I command you to grant your powers to Sakura!” She then pointed the crossbow up to the sky and held out her left arm to the side and quickly opened her eyes to see the gem reaching it’s vertical peak. “Jump Gem! Shatter and dispel!”She pulled the trigger of the crossbow and a arrow flew up, followed by all the energy which surrounded her before. They both collided with the front of the gem, causing it to shatter into a sparkling navy blue light. The energy flew away from Ceaira, then swirled around Sakura as two pairs of small wings appeared on her boots. Sakura then stepped forward, tossed out the Fly Card, then began to quickly twirl her wand. “Fly Card, grant your powers to Ceaira! Release and dispel!” Slamming the card with her wand, a pair of white wings appeared on Ceaira’s back. Yue approached the two, then summoned his bow and arrows as the three looked toward where Fly was turning to fly back toward them. “Ready you two?” “You bet Ceaira!” “Let’s get this over with.”
The three nodded to each other, then leaped off of the building and headed toward Fly. Yue pulled back an arrow against the bow as Sakura leaped from building to building with greater ease than she could have done with the Jump Card. Ceaira gripped her crossbow, then waved to Yue to begin the distraction as she sped up and increased her elevation. “Do it Yue! Sakura summon Power!” “Right!” Sakura nodded, then landed atop a tall building as she looked toward the bird in which Ceaira was quickly approaching. Holding the card between her two fingers, she turned the image outward to face away from her. She then tossed it forward and then began twirling the wand. “Power Card . . .grant your powers to the Star Wand!” She finished twirling as the card stopped in front of her. She raised the wand above her head, then brought it down, causing the point to slam against the card’s image. “Power Card! Release and dispel!” Waves of energy and light appeared and travelled outward as she held the position. A pink light suddenly emerged from the card, swirling all around her.
Yue closed his eyes as he lifted the bow of energy, then released the arrow. It flew across the sky like a shooting star until it soared by Fly’s head, just grazing it’s feathers. Narrowing it’s eyes, it turned toward Yue and Ceaira, and flapped it’s wings with great force, sending an extremely strong gust of wind toward them. Ceaira managed to use the wings to escape the wind, but Yue was slammed by it, causing him to fall toward a building. He slammed down onto the ground, then groaned as he seemed to pass out. His body became engulfed in a silver light, causing the wings to disappear and the hair to shorten. When the light disappeared, Julian was left behind, slowly waking up. “Where am I . . .” Getting up from the ground, he looked up at the sky to see the battle in progress. Not being able to figure out why, he watched the battle with amazement and curiosity.
“Sakura! Throw me the wand!” “Okay!” Sakura kneeled down toward the ground, then pushed off as she leaped into the air until reaching a high elevation. She then began spinning around, releasing her grip and sending the wand spinning through the air. Ceaira dove forward and grabbed it’s mid-section, then sped forward again until she was right above Fly. “Time to capture you Fly!” Landing once again, on the back of Fly, she ran forward until she was right behind the head. Before Fly was able to react, Ceaira raised the wand with her left hand and brought it down, slamming the star piece against it. Screeching from pain, Fly’s eyes rolled back and it fell toward the ground. Ceaira leaped off, then twirled her crossbow with her right hand as she took aim. “Fly Gem! Return to your power confined!” She pulled the trigger, sending a white arrow flying across the sky, which bursted into a light large enough to slowly engulf Fly.
Julian gasped at what he saw, not being able to believe any of it. Sakura leaping with great ease between buildings, Ceaira flying on wings, and a giant bird now being engulfed in a white light, which now seemed to be decreasing in size. He rubbed his eyes, then looked again to see the energy taking on a different shape. “What the heck is going on!?”
His voice echoed throughout the area until it reached Sakura’s ears. She looked toward the building to see Julian instead of Yue, and she panicked completely as her jaw seemed to hit the ground. “Julian saw the seal!” Ceaira looked down toward her just as she grabbed the Fly Gem, then panicked when she looked toward Julian as well. She gasped, then froze from shock. “Uh oh . . .Sakura, get the others! I’ll try and handle this!” “Okay!” The two nodded to each other, then went their separate ways. Sakura leaped from building to building as she headed back for the others, while Ceaira flew down from the sky to land on the same building as Julian. The two stared at each other for a long period of time before Julian swung his hand in front of him. “Will someone PLEASE tell me what just happened up there?!” “It’s a complicated story Julian, but it’ll be easier to tell now that you’ve seen some of what my destiny involves.” “I’ll believe anything after seeing that! What was that anyway?” “A Kayo Gem, the Fly Gem to be exact.”
Stepping forward, Ceaira held out the newly captured gem, which bore the image of the bird trapped within a frame of silver feathers. Julian took the gem into his hands, then studied it carefully. “These have special powers or something?” “Yeah. When Fly is summoned, I’ll gain wings. I don’t know where the wings will appear, but they will be gained. There are many gems, and we still have a long way to go.” Ceaira frowned, then stepped forward and removed the gem from Julian's hands. "We've been keeping a lot of secrets from you Julian, and you don't deserve to he kept in the dark." "What are you talking about Ceaira?" "A lot of things. First off, Aquilia is more than she seems. She's my guardian, and she represents the Star Power. She can also . . .talk." "WHAT?!" Ceaira nodded, then frowned as she looked out onto the glittering city. Sighing to herself, she turned back toward Julian to continue. "There's a lot more. Sakura's yellow stuffed animal is very much alive too. His name is Kero and he is one of her two guardians. His element is the sun and he’s in his true form right now however." "I see. So who's the second guardian then?" "You are Julian . . ." "Huh? Please run that by me again." "I'll do my best. You see, Yue is the second guardian of Sakura. He passed judgment upon her and he is ruled by the moon element. Only, you transform into him. When Yue appears, your memory blacks out, but when he disappears you return to this world with no memory of what happened.” “This, Yue is the cause of my memory gaps?” Nodding, Ceaira turned to the side to see the rest of the group approaching. Julian looked toward them too, wondering what else he was to expect.
A few minutes after they all gathered together, Julian continued to ask questions to the others, while Madison scanned through her video camera’s screen to try and find a certain situation. “When did Yue appear?” “Two years ago after the final card was signed. It was after your archery competition.” “When my memory gaps started occurring . . .” Sakura and Li nodded in sync, when suddenly Madison ran over to Julian and kneeled down beside him. “I just found the best evidence to show you. Take a look at this video camera screen.” “What am I looking at Madison?” “The first time Yue appeared.” Intrigued, Julian took the video camera, and watched as Sakura signed the card. The camera’s picture then turned sharply as Julian’s body began rising up off of the bench. Continuing to watch, Julian gasped as a pair of angel wings appeared and wrapped around the body. After a flash of light emitted throughout the area, the wings pulled apart to reveal Julian’s transformation into Yue. The camera’s screen suddenly turned to static, and Julian handed it back to Madison. “Now it all makes sense . . .the memory gaps, my increased appetite, they’re all caused by Yue.” “That’s right Julian. The appetite is to keep Yue’s energy up. He can’t eat in his true form, so he needs to draw energy from others. You and me to be exact.” “Why you Sakura?” “Because I’m the Clow Mistress.”
“So Julian, can we count on your help when we need Yue?” Ceaira looked toward Julian with her serious purple eyes, which caused everyone else to look toward him as well. Hesitating, he thought to himself for a moment, then flashed his warm smile as he nodded. “Of course. Yue seems important so I’ll be there when you need him!” “Awesome!” “Welcome to the team Julian.” Everyone cheered while Julian continued to smile, thinking about what his life will now be like now that he knows he has a counterpart.
Later that night, Julian was dropped off by Keroberos at his apartment. After thanking him and Sakura, he headed into his apartment and straight toward his room. A few minutes later, he crawled into bed and went to sleep soon after.
“Where am I now?” Julian found himself standing on a pathway made entirely of stars. As he looked around, he saw the night sky completely surrounding him. Looking around, he saw a shadow standing in front of him not too far away. Curious, he watched it carefully and waited a moment before speaking. “Who are you?” “I am Yue . . .the second guardian”
Stepping out of the shadows, Yue’s form appeared which made Julian curious. The two looked very similar to each other it seemed. Walking forward, both approached each other until there wasn’t much difference in distance between them. “So you’re Yue.” “That is correct. We finally meet.” “I guess so. So you’re who I transform into . . .cool.” “I guess so . . .even though we are completely different people. However, you deserved to be aware of my presence. Now you know, which has in turn helped you to understand what’s been happening to you lately. I do not care to show concern around anyone, but I ask you to aid Sakura as much as you can, especially when I am needed. Can you do that Julian?” “Sure!” “Thank you, just don’t tell Sakura of my request or I’ll feel very uncomfortable. I don’t understand human emotions quite well yet, and Sakura has strong ones which confuse me at this time. Maybe in time I’ll understand, but for now this is how I want to be.” “Okay Yue.” “I shall leave you now so you may get some rest. You’re probably hurting from that fall I had earlier.” “Yeah, just a little . . .”
As Julian rubbed his right arm, Yue’s face remain unchanged as he turned and began walking away in the opposite direction. Julian watched, then become confused when he suddenly stopped and crossed his arms in front of him. “Until we meet again Julian . . .” After uncrossing his arms, he continued walking until he once again disappeared into the shadows. Julian stood alone, then looked down at his arm and frowned. “So that’s that then. I’m one of Sakura’s guardians of the Clow. I hope Ii can handle being two people, and I hope I can keep Yue at full strength . . .” Nodding to himself, Julian smiled then turned to walk in the opposite direction until he too, disappeared into the shadows.

The Kayo Gems

“Each gem that is captured has a mystical seal . . .a new mystifying gem today we shall reveal . . .”
The Kayo box is dark blue chest with the image of a golden eagle on the lid. It suddenly flipped opened and tipped over, causing all the gems inside to spill out onto the ground. they all bounced around, but one landed and spun around on one side. it then fell over into it’s flat side to reveal the image to be a golden lion standing against the sun symbol.
     “Solar Gem!”
Heatwaves filled the air as the reservoirs slowly dried up. Finding the source, Ceaira sends the Dark Gem to battle the golden lion while Sakura summons the Rain Gem to weaken it. She then finishes it off by summoning Watery, which weakens Solar enough for Ceaira to seal it. The Solar Gem is then shown again before bursting into a orange light.

Aquilia Chat

“Hey there everybody! It’s once again time for Aquilia Chat and today, I’m gonna tell you about Li Showron’s magic!”
Aquilia then turns on the small TV to show Li placing his fingers on the sword as he speaks his incantation.
“Li is a descendant of Clow Reed, so this gives him a magical lineage. Because of that lineage, he can use magic!”
She then changes the channel to show Li’s magic taking flight.
“Like my master Ceaira, Li can wield many elements. However, he mostly uses Wind and Fire, but his favourite is Lightning. You don’t wanna mess with this seventh grader!”
Aquilia giggles then flies closer until his face is almost right up again the camera lens.
“And now, how bout checking this out?!”
She changes the channel once again to show Li tossing one of his Ofuda’s into the air.
“Not only does he use his magic through the sword, but he has these strange pieces of paper called Ofuda’s. The symbols on each piece of paper are slightly different to show the different elements. His favourite attack with these is Fire.”
Wearing a nightcap, Aquilia floats down until she lands on her favourite pillow. Nestling in, she turns back to the camera.
“Sakura could not have captured some cards, such as Time, without Li’s special powers. And in the case of Ceaira, she couldn’t have captured Watery without Sakura’s cards or Li’s powers too. That’s all for Aquilia Chat. See ya!”
She waves her wing then closes her eyes to go to sleep as the scene fades out.
