Last time on CardCaptors . . .

Now that the new year’s celebration had passed, it was time to continue as normal . . .or as normal as it was going to get for the captors in the last episode, when Meilin was training as hard as she was able to in preparation for the upcoming karate competition.
“I have to concentrate extremely hard and focus all my energy to go far.”
Meanwhile in the park, Ceaira and Tori were wrapping up their date when suddenly a red ninja appeared and attacked both of them. He then revealed he was the Fight Gem before injuring her severely. When the others arrived, Meilin stepped forward and proclaimed her challenge
“I’ll take care of this so called martial arts expert!”
After a long exhausting battle, Meilin defeated the Fight Gem which allowed Ceaira to seal it. However, upon it’s seal the gem went to Meilin!
“How did I get the Kayo Gem?!”
After a long tug of war, the gang finally decided to give up wondering how Meilin could have gotten a gem without any magical powers. How will the rest of the quest go now that all bets are off in regards to the gem captures?

Episode Fifteen

Even the Optimistic Get Depressed

Ceaira hummed to herself, carrying a tray with two cups of hot chocolate and three cupcakes on it as she walked up the stairs. Three days had passed since the Fight Gem went to Meilin after it was sealed. Lately however, Ceaira worried about Aquilia because she seemed depressed. Knowing cupcakes would cheer her up, the young GemCaptor figured that was what it would take to lift the spirits of her small feathered friend. As she reached the top of the stairs, she quickly drank some of her hot chocolate before continuing toward her room.
“Firey, Watery, and Windy . . .only two more to go . . .” Aquilia sighed to herself, and ruffled every one of her feathers as she perched herself on the edge of the opened Kayo Chest. Staring at the gems inside, she sighed to herself again and jumped down onto the desk, which caused the chest to mystically close on it’s own. She then floated down to land on her pillow, where she nestled in and frowned to herself as her eyes closed half way. “Will I be this way forever? I want to fly on my true wings . . .I want to be my true self . . .”
Suddenly Ceaira opened the door and slowly walked into her bedroom. She looked down at the pillow to see the sad budgie, causing her to frown because she wasn’t sure what was wrong. However, she quickly perked up and walked over to the desk, placing the tray on it. “Hey Aquilia. What’s up?” “Nothing . . .” Ceaira frowned again, knowing the sadness in her voice and in the aura she radiated. Knowing she could cheer up the little bird, Ceaira perked up and held out a cupcake toward Aquilia. “How about a cupcake? You love them so much after all.” “No thank you . . .” “What?! The great Guardian Beast of the Kayo Chest refuses to eat the food she most adores in this universe? Are you sick?” “No . . .” “Then what’s wrong?!” “Nothing . . .”
Ceaira felt herself getting annoyed by the bird’s refusal to speak, but she managed to keep it in check as she laid down on her bed and began eating her cupcake. “So what do you want to go today? Wanna go see Kero?” “No thanks . . .I just want to spend today in here . . .alone.”       Just then, Ceaira clenched her fist and narrowed her eyes at Aquilia, who closed her eyes and sighed sadly once again. She then turned away and walked toward the door, but spun around once more to look at her friend. “Listen Aquilia, you may be wiser than me, but I know when people are upset because I can see the aura that emotions create. Don’t try to cover up your despair!”
With that, she left the bedroom and went downstairs, leaving Aquilia alone on the floor. After a few moments of being stationary, the small bird finally jumped up off the pillow to fly up into the air, then headed over to the window where she landed on the sill. She then frowned as she looked out onto the city being pounced by freezing rain. “I want to be my true self . . .is that so hard for Ceaira to understand?” As she watched the tiny shards of ice fall from the sky, Aquilia shook her head to herself, then closed her eyes as she ruffled her feathers. “No, she can’t understand. She’s a human being and she does not have to worry about being reduced to a less powerful, less helpful form. How can I be a full fledged guardian if all I can do is chirp and peck at the skin? I’m useless . . .that’s why I sincerely hope the last two gems of my power appear soon . . .”
Whipping out an electric guitar, Li sat down on the couch and attempted to play a song. However, he didn’t do to well, which forced Meilin to grab the guitar from him very quickly. “Hey! What was that for Meilin?!” “Li, you seriously need lessons! Who’s guitar is this anyway?” “It supposedly belonged to Wei during the 70's. He was in a rock band?” “Very scary Li.” Sakura laughed, while Madison made a fake, horrified expression which caused Li and Meilin to join in with laugher as well. “Why is it all of our relatives always seem to be totally strange people when they were younger?” “No clue Madison, but someday someone’s gonna say the same thing about us.” “Really though Sakura, I can picture it now . . .” Meilin laughed, then jumped up off of the ground and changed her expression to look like she was wondering a strange thought. She then turned to the others and cleared her throat. “They would be like . . .‘Wow, look at mom’s funky cards!’ ‘Man, your mom was weird when she was younger. She really ran all over the place capturing these cards?’ ‘Yeah, and what about my dad? He was always swinging a sword at everything!’ ‘Well my mom had a video camera surgically attached to her hand, and she was never seen at her house without her sewing equipment.’ ‘Oh yeah? My mom was a brat! She was always yelling at people and trying to out do them with anything, especially martial arts!’ Poor us!”
Meilin laughed after finishing, joining in with the others as they were already laughing so hard, that Sakura had tears coming out from her eyes. “That was good Meilin!” “Very funny.” “Thanks.” As soon as she sat down on the couch, the doorbell suddenly rang. Li jump up from his seat and walked over to the door to see who it was. He looked through the peephole, then opened the door to all Ceaira to walk in. Her face showed sadness as she walked in and removed her winter clothes. “Hey everyone.” “Hey Ceaira! How are you?” “I’m fine . . .but Aquilia isn’t.”
Li closed the door, concerned about his distant cousin for he hated to see her upset. She walked into the living room and sat down in a recliner, but stared at the floor with sad eyes once she stopped moving. Sakura, Meilin, Madison, and Li watched her stare into space for a few moments, before the Card Mistress finally decided to break the silence. “So what’s wrong with Aquilia?” “Well . . .she’s just been so quiet for the past couple of days. She won’t fly, go see Kero, or even eat cupcakes!” “It’s bad when Aquilia won’t eat cupcakes.” “I know. What do I do?” “Do you know why she might be depressed?” “I honestly don’t know why she would be Sakura . . .but she denies it even though she knows I can see the aura’s that emotions create. I don’t know what to do . . .”
The group frowned as Li and Meilin got up from the couch. They went into the kitchen, then came out a few minutes later with glasses of lemonade. After everyone got a glass, they sat back down and began drinking it. Suddenly, Sakura gasped and smiled after taking a sip of her drink. “I know! Ceaira, maybe Kero can cheer her up. I’ll call him on the cell phone and see if he’ll fly over to your place!” “That’s such a great idea Sakura! Thank you so much.” “No problem.” Sakura then leaned over, and grabbed her backpack. After dragging it back over toward her, she pulled out her cell phone, dialed the number to Kero’s phone, then listened as the tone rang. “It’s ringing, wonder where Kero is . . .oh, key Kero! Listen, I need a favor from you. Aquilia’s been pretty down lately and the five of us were . . .yeah, Ceaira’s here, she arrived a few minutes ago . . .anyways, would you be able to go over to Ceaira’s house and see if there’s any way of cheering her up?”
A long pause followed, causing the entire gang to huddle around the cell phone as Kero seemed to had become silent on the other end. Suddenly they heard a loud burp, which made everyone angry. They leaned into the phone and yelled at the same time at him. “KERO!” “This is serious Kero! Please forget about food for a minute?” After that, another pause followed, but it didn’t last long for Sakura suddenly allowed a smile to spread across her face. “Thanks Kero. We all appreciate it, especially Ceaira.” Terminating the conversation, Sakura placed the phone back inside her backpack, then leaned back in the beanbag chair. “He was glad to go visit Aquilia. He hasn’t talked to her for a couple of days, and you know how best friends are.” “Really though.” The group nodded in unison as they agreed with Sakura, then went back to drinking their lemonade.
“I’m so depressed . . .maybe it’s just a lack of rest.” Still at the window since Ceaira had left the room, Aquilia had been staring at the pellets of ice as they showered down from the clouds above. Yawning, she turned away from the outside world and hopped down onto the desk, then once again onto her pillow. After nestling in, she closed her eyes and yawned once again. “Maybe I’ll take forty winks before Ceaira comes home . . .wonder where she went anyway . . .” Before she had the chance to continue her train of thought, she yawned once more before drifting off to sleep.
“KEROBEROS! SPINEL SUN!” A large blue bird, bearing a black helmet with a star jewel, a necklace with a green gem, and silver tail feathers and lining on her wings flew through the forest toward a series of tall mountains. Laying in front of a large cave were two creatures. One was a large mane-less lion with angel wings, while the other was a large black panther with butterfly wings. They were relaxing when the bird finally stopped above them, and landed on a thick tree branch not to far off the ground. “Guess what you two!?” “What is it Aquilia? You look like you just saw Yue flirting with Ruby Moon or something.” “Even better than that Spinel Sun! Remember when I was called to the Clow Mansion?” “Yeah.” “Well, I was chosen to become Clow Kayo’s guardian best for his new magical talismans!” “Aquilia that’s wonderful!” “I know! Oh wow, this is so overwhelming. I couldn’t even breathe at first.” “Being chosen by one of the Clow’s is a great honor.” “You two still might have a chance you know. Clow Kayo’s brother, Clow Reed, is looking for a guardian beast as well.” “Seriously?!” Aquilia nodded, then smiled at the two fellow beasts as they jumped off the ground and began flying around from joy. All the newly chosen guardian beast could do was laugh and join in with her best friends.
“You wanted to see me master?” Aquilia entered the room from the sky window, then landed on the arm of a large chair. Standing against another window was a man with brown, slightly spiked hair wearing a dark blue robe with yellow star patterns. His arms were crossed as he turned toward her. “Yes Aquilia . . .it’s time that you enter the Kayo Chest. Clow Reed is after this power and since you are the guardian beast, you must protect these Kayo Gems.” “What about Sabaki?” “She is dormant . . .she won’t be needed for a long time.” “How did Yue take it, master?” “He was already placed to sleep it seemed. Sabaki will awaken in the future to protect the gems as well, but if I am not alive, a new master will be needed. She will judge this new master.” “I understand.” “Now then, you must keep this in mind. Should the gems be lost, you’re energy will be needed to maintain their strength. Because of this Aquilia, you may be reduced to a smaller state.” “I am willing to take the risk master.” “Very well. Remember, your powers are connected to the gems of Firey, Watery, Windy, Earthy, and Star. Should they become separated from the chest, you’re form will change. Are you ready?” “Yes.” “Very well. Come closer.” Giving a nod, she flew over and landed on the table beside the blue and gold colored chest. There, she closed her eyes. Clow Kayo raised his hands and began chanting, causing a blast of magic to appear and transform the large bird into a ball of light. Once completely changed, the energy entered the chest, causing the image of a large mystical bird to appear on the cover.

Suddenly, Aquilia awoke with a startled reaction, hearing the sounds of tapping against glass. Looking around, the bird sighed to herself, then rose from the pillow to hover in the air. “Where is that tapping sound coming from?” Looking around some more, she suddenly had her attention caught by the window, when she saw Kero tapping against the glass politely. Aquilia smiled, then opened the window with her telekinetic powers. Kero flew in after it was open enough, then shook the dampness out of his fur. “Geez, it’s cold out there!” “I can see how, with those ice pellets falling. So why the unannounced visit today Keroberos?” “You can call me Kero now you know, everyone else does.” “Sorry, force of habit. So why the visit?” “Well, Sakura called me and said that Ceaira was worried about you, that you were depressed or something.” “Just great . . .”
Frowning and narrowing her eyes toward the ground, Aquilia folded her wings back and turned toward Kero, not looking too pleased. “And let me guess, she got you to come over here to try and cheer me up? Is that it?” “Well . . .yeah. Seeing as we’re best friends. That and I hate seeing you depressed. You’re always such a happy beast and nothing could get you down.” “Well maybe I am a little depressed, and angry. I told Ceaira nothing was wrong, so why didn’t she just leave it at that?!” “She’s worried about you Aquilia! You two have become best friends and although you are her guardian beast, she feels a need to look out for you too.” Listening, Aquilia suddenly unfolded her wings as far out as she could, catching Kero off guard. He jumped back, but then calmed down and watched as Aquilia stepped forward and continued her side of the argument. “And don’t friend respect each other’s wishes?!” “Just what is wrong with you Aquilia?! Why are you acting like such a crow!?” “I just want to be in my true form again Keroberos! Is that so hard to understand!?”
At that moment, the small bird had as much as she was able to take and give. Rushing over to the window, she expanded her wings out to the sides, then leaped out off of the sill and toward the ground. Kero panicked and rushed over to the window, watching as Aquilia caught an updraft, and took off to fly out toward the heart of the city. As he watched, he frowned and lowered his head, feeling the sadness he knew she had. “But don’t you see Aquilia? I actually do understand your needs and wishes . . .” Knowing he couldn’t just leave his best friend by herself in her emotional state. Kero flew over to Ceaira’s desk and picked up her blue cell phone. He then turned it and dialed a number.
“Hello? Hey Kero! Are you at Ceaira’s place yet?” Sakura listened carefully to Kero as she held the cell phone to her ear, causing the others to watch her with concern and curiosity. “What? Hang on a second.” Taking the phone from her ear, she covered the mouth piece and looked toward the others. The glint in her eyes and the expression on her face showed great concern. “Madison, do you have that piece with you that can put this on speaker mode?” “Yeah.” “Can I use it? Kero needs to talk to all of us.” Madison nodded, wondering what was going on like the others. She grabbed her bookbag and lifted out what looked like a telephone receiver. After she set it up on the coffee table, Sakura placed the phone on the receiver and pressed one of the buttons. She then sat back down on the couch. “Okay Kero, go ahead.” “Can everyone hear me?” “Yeah.” “Loud and clear.” “So what’s up?” “Something bad. I tried to get Aquilia to cheer, up, but she got angry and, well . . .she took off. She’s flying around the city somewhere.” “What?!” “She was pretty mad it seemed, said Ceaira wasn’t respecting her privacy and wishes. However . . .” “However?”
Ceaira’s eyes widened as she was curious to what Kero was getting at. She leaned forward toward the phone, and crossed her arms in front of her. “However what?” “I found out why Aquilia’s so upset. She wants to return to her true form.” “That’s why she is so depressed. I know she needs Firey, Watery, Windy, Earthy and Star to return to her true form, and maybe seeing Kero able to go to and from his true form must be upsetting her.” “It makes sense.” “Well, we have to go find her. Come on everyone, let’s get going!” “Right!”
The group jumped up to their feet, ready to go. However, before they even started toward the door, the walls and floor suddenly began shaking violently. The intensity increased extremely quickly, causing glasses, pictures, and the gang to fall onto the floor. “Earthquake!” “This isn’t no ordinary earthquake everyone! I’m sensing a Kayo Gem!” “Could it be Earthy?!” “It has to be! Come on, let’s get to the balcony so we can go find the source!” “Okay! Let’s summon our weapons first!” Ceaira and Sakura nodded, to agree with Li, then the three removed their talismans from their hiding place and prepared to summon their weapons.
Taking the key into her hands, Sakura held it in front of her. A sphere of light appeared about the object as she began the incantation. “O key which hides the power of the stars, reveal your true form before me.” As Sakura chanted streams of energy appeared and swirled around her. At the same time other streams were flowing into the key as it spun around in mid air. “I, Sakura, command your transformation under our contact! RELEASE!” It then began to extend. Sakura grabbed the mid-section then twirled it around until it was at full size.
“Source of light with ancient spin, send forth the magical power within . . .” Li threw the pendant up to the sky and it began transforming as well. “Force know my plight, release the light!” As it fell, it began to take on the form of his sword. Before it hit the ground, he grabbed the handle, and the light shattered to reveal the sword’s form.
Ceaira grabbed her pendant and held it in front of her. She then placed her hands together to conceal the pendant from view. She then closed her eyes and began her incantation. “Lock of Kayo . . .Key of Syona . . .forces of good . . .surrender the bow . . .surrender the might . . .so I may fight!” A blue light appeared, causing her to open her eyes. She pulled her hands apart and the blue arrow rose upward. It then became engulfed in a sphere of light blue energy. Streams of the same energy appeared then flowed into the pendant, which then began to morph. Ceaira then reached up and grabbed the finished product of the metamorphosis; her crossbow, before bringing it down to shoulder level. She then turned to the others and they raced out onto the balcony. “We’ll have to wait until later to search for Aquilia. Right now we have to seal Earthy before it destroys the city!” “Right!” Ceaira summoned Fly onto herself, and then summoned Jump onto Meilin. The two headed out, while Sakura summoned Jump for Li, and Fly onto her wand. She and Madison climbed on, then took off after the others as they began the chase.
Further away in the park, Aquilia was nestled in an empty nest up in one of the bare cherry blossom trees, awake with her eyes closed as she thought about what had happened so far that day. Sighing to herself, she opened her eyelids to show tears gathered within as her eyes rippled from the salty liquid. “I can’t believe I blew up like that, and it had to be toward Ceaira and Kero! Some guardian beast I am . . .”
Just as she stood up from the nest and unfolded her wings, there was another violent earthquake, which hit the area. Aquilia was caught off balance, causing her to fall out of the tree and onto the ground. She landed on her back, but quickly climbed up from the ground just in time to see a giant, jagged rock break out from earth to shoot up toward the sky. Aquilia quickly took off and flew up and above the city to see there were other jagged rocks emerging from out of the ground as well. “What’s happening to the city?! Why are these rocks suddenly emerging?!” As she looked around, another earthquake was rocking the city wildly. Suddenly, many fissures began opening on the ground, seemingly eating up many cars, street lights, and trees. As the biggest fissure appeared in the heart of the city, there was a loud shriek heard as two giant claws emerged from within the earth. Aquilia watched in horror, then gasped as she watched a giant mantis appear and crawl out of the small canyon like crack. “Earthy! Perfect timing, but it doesn’t matter now.” Frowning, she watched as the mantis raised one of it’s giant claws and brought it down against the ground. Upon it’s strike, another earthquake was created, and more jagged rocks shot out of the ground toward the sky. Aquilia’s eyes suddenly burned with fires of rage as she glared down at the opposing force. “That’s it! I don’t care if I don’t have all my powers back, I have to stop it! Earthy must be stopped before it destroy’s Reidenton!”
Aquilia suddenly screeched up toward the sky, then shot downward in sonic dive toward the mantis. It looked up toward her, then showed no emotion as it raised one of it’s giant claws. Just as she was about to collide with it’s body, a figure appeared from out of no where and grabbed her before the mantis brought down the claw. Aquilia was caught off guard by this, but when she recovered from the surprise rescue, she looked up to see Ceaira gripping her as she looked very worried. “Aquilia! What the heck were you trying to prove!?” “Ceaira! Thank goodness you’re here!” “Answer me!” “I’m sorry, but I couldn’t just sit by and watch Earthy destroy the city. I don’t care if I’m in my true form or not and I don’t care if you understand. I am a guardian beast and it is my duty!” “Aquilia . . .”
Ceaira watched her little friend as she gave the speech, then allowed herself to cry as she hugged her warmly. “Aquilia I understand what you’re talking about. But you’re not fighting an elemental gem alone any longer. The other’s should be here anytime so we can start attacking.” “Thanks Ceaira. We’re a team.” “Right bird dudette!” The two smiled, then looked toward to where the mantis resided. Turning serious, they separated from the hug and prepared to fight. “Okay Aquilia, how powerful is it anyway?” “Very powerful. We’re gonna need more than one gem to defeat it. If it’s more powerful than that, then we’ll have to combine both the cards and the gems.” “Okay.” “For now Ceaira, know that roots and plants keep Earth together and immobile. That’s why rivers with trees on the banks don’t mix with the sand and make as much mud as compared to a river with no trees along it’s banks.” “So you’re saying to try the Amazon Gem?” “Exactly, but we need to combine it with the Wood Card to be more effective!” “Okay!”
Releasing tension in their wings, Ceaira and Aquilia descended toward the ground and landed on the rooftop of a fairly tall office building. After waiting a few moments, they were finally joined by Sakura, Li, Madison, and Meilin. “Sakura! We need the cards!” “Which ones?!” “Wood! Aquilia thinks we need to combine Wood and Amazon to keep Earthy from advancing forward.” “It makes sense. That’s what we did to stop the Earth Card.” “Then this should work, especially since we’re combining two sub earth elementals.” “Let’s go then. The rest of you wait here until Sakura and I come back with the Earthy Gem!” “Okay!”
Sakura smiled, then turned away to face the mantis. As she did, she removed a card from her pocket and held it in front of her with her eyes closed, and turned the image outward to face away from her. She then tossed it forward and then began twirling the wand. “Fly Card . . .grant me your wings so I may help Ceaira stop Earthy!” She finished twirling as the card stopped in front of her. She raised the wand above her head, then brought it down, causing the point to slam against the card’s image. “Fly Card! Release and dispel!” Waves of energy and light appeared and travelled outward as she held the position. Light blue energy suddenly emerged from the card and swirled all around her causing a pair of white wings to appear on her back. She then gripped the wand and jumped up to fly off toward the gem’s form, followed closely behind by Ceaira. The others watched while Madison video taped the situation. “Good luck captors. . .”
The two stopped their flight once they found themselves right above the mantis. Ceaira’s face turned totally serious as she gripped a gem in her left hand, to reveal it’s image to be a women ensnared by numerous vines covered in flowers. She then lowered the arm toward the ground, then lifted it quickly as she tossed the gem above her head. She then held out her crossbow and left arm out in front of her and went into a spin as a sparkling green energy surrounded her. “Amazon Gem . . .I command you to ensnare Earthy with your vines!” She then pointed the crossbow up to the sky and held out her left arm to the side and quickly opened her eyes to see the gem reaching it’s vertical peak. “Amazon Gem! Shatter and dispel!”She pulled the trigger of the crossbow and a arrow flew up, followed by all the energy which surrounded her before. They both collided with the front of the gem, causing it to shatter into a sparkling green light. The light then transformed into dozens of spiked vines which shot forward and surrounded the giant mantis, wrapping around it quickly and tightly. The mantis cried out then collapsed to its knees when it became half immobile. Ceaira smiled then quickly turned toward Sakura with serious eyes. “You’re turn Sakura!” “Right!”
Taking the card into between her index and middle fingers, she held the card in front of her with her eyes closed, and turned the image outward to face away from her. She then tossed it forward and then began twirling the wand. “Wood Card . . .heed the command I request of you. Use your roots and branches to aid the Amazon Gem!” She finished twirling as the card stopped in front of her. She raised the wand above her head, then brought it down, causing the point to slam against the card’s image. “Wood Card! Release and dispel!” Waves of energy and light appeared and travelled outward as she held the position. Green energy suddenly emerged from the card, swirling all around her. Wood’s form suddenly appeared, but then bursted into green energy which quickly transformed into tree branches and tree roots. They shot forward and joined the Amazon Gem’s powers in wrapping around Earthy. After the attack was completed, Ceaira and Sakura smiled as they saw that the mantis was completely immobile. “We did it!” “Alright Ceaira, better seal it before it breaks free.” “Good point.”
Nodding, Ceaira twirled her crossbow on her finger and then grabbed the handle as she pointed it toward the mantis below. “Earthy Gem! Return to your--” Just as she was about to shoot the arrow, Earthy suddenly shot it’s arms out to the sides, causing it’s claws to slice through the vines and branches. It growled aloud, then sent a blast of earth elemental energy which hit Ceaira and Sakura. The two flung back and slammed down against the roof of the building, causing the others to rush over to them quickly. “Sakura!” “Ceaira!” Sitting up, Sakura rubbed the back of her head while Ceaira sat up as well but frowned as she looked down at the ground. “Earthy’s stronger than we thought. It’s time for plan B.” “What’s that Aquilia?” “Sakura and Ceaira need to summon their powers of Windy, Watery, and Firey.” “Well, Sakura can summon all three at once. But I’m gonna need time to summon them separately.” “We have to keep Earthy from causing any more destruction until then, but how?” “Leave that to me!”
Before any of the captors could react, Aquilia suddenly jumped off of Meilin’s shoulder’s and took flight toward the mantis, causing everyone to shout out and demand that she come back. However, she refused to listen and she continued until she found herself near the large mantis creature. She took a moment to survey the area, then went into a state of thought as she hovered in the air. “How can I stop such a massive creature?”
Sakura was totally puzzled at Aquilia’s actions. Turning toward Ceaira, she saw as she was wondering the same thing it seemed. “Ceaira, do you know what Aquilia’s trying to do?” “I don’t know, but she probably determined in buying us the time we need to summon our powers. Let’s do it okay?!” “Right!”
Taking the card into between her index and middle fingers, Sakura held the card in front of her with her eyes closed, and turned the image outward to face away from her. She then tossed it forward and then began twirling the wand. “Windy Card . . become a binding chain!” She finished twirling as the card stopped in front of her. She raised the wand above her head, then brought it down, causing the point to slam against the card’s image. “Windy Card! Release and dispel!” Waves of energy and light appeared and travelled outward as she held the position. Yellow energy suddenly emerged from the card, swirling all around her.
Ceaira gripped a gem in her left hand, to reveal it’s image to be a Pegasus in flight as it was surrounded by streams of wind. She then lowered the arm toward the ground, then lifted it quickly as she tossed the gem above her head. She then held out her crossbow and left arm out in front of her and went into a spin as a sparkling yellow energy surrounded her. “Windy Gem . . .” She then pointed the crossbow up to the sky and held out her left arm to the side and quickly opened her eyes to see the gem reaching it’s vertical peak. “Shatter and dispel!”She pulled the trigger of the crossbow and a arrow flew up, followed by all the energy which surrounded her before. They both collided with the front of the gem, causing it to shatter into a sparkling yellow light.
“Think Aquilia! There has to be something you can do!” Becoming annoyed with herself, Aquilia hit herself in the head with her wing, causing her to spin out of control for a few seconds before she regained her senses. As she did, she gasped as she suddenly thought of something. “I got it! I’ll use my telekinetic powers!”
Taking a second card into between her index and middle fingers, Sakura held the card in front of her with her eyes closed, and turned the image outward to face away from her. She then tossed it forward and then began twirling the wand. “Water Card . . disburse your watery powers as restraining ribbons!” She finished twirling as the card stopped in front of her. She raised the wand above her head, then brought it down, causing the point to slam against the card’s image. “Water Card! Release and dispel!” Waves of energy and light appeared and travelled outward as she held the position. Blue energy suddenly emerged from the card, swirling all around her.
Ceaira gripped her gem in her left hand, to reveal it’s image to be a water serpent surrounded by water. She then lowered the arm toward the ground, then lifted it quickly as she tossed the gem above her head. She then held out her crossbow and left arm out in front of her and went into a spin as a sparkling blue energy surrounded her. “Watery Gem . . .” She then pointed the crossbow up to the sky and held out her left arm to the side and quickly opened her eyes to see the gem reaching it’s vertical peak. “Shatter and dispel!”She pulled the trigger of the crossbow and a arrow flew up, followed by all the energy which surrounded her before. They both collided with the front of the gem, causing it to shatter into a sparkling blue light.
“I seriously hope this works!” Closing her eyes, she pointed her wings forward toward the ground where the mantis was moving forward toward another section of the city. As it moved, it was suddenly stopped by a wall of psychic powers. It wondered what was going on, but suddenly found it has lost control of it’s claws as they were lifted up from it’s sides. Suddenly, the two were slammed together, causing them to break and become useless. Aquilia opened her eyes and suddenly felt faint as she fell toward the ground.
“AQUILIA!” Ceaira suddenly panicked, then used the power of Fly to speed forward and catch her before she hit the ground. As she flew back up toward the building, Sakura began her final summon. She took the final card into between her index and middle fingers, Sakura held the card in front of her with her eyes closed, and turned the image outward to face away from her. She then tossed it forward and then began twirling the wand. “Firey Card . . disburse your watery powers as restraining ribbons!” She finished twirling as the card stopped in front of her. She raised the wand above her head, then brought it down, causing the point to slam against the card’s image. “Firey Card! Release and dispel!” Waves of energy and light appeared and travelled outward as she held the position. Blue energy suddenly emerged from the card, swirling all around her.
Ceaira landed on the building with the rest of the gang, then placed Aquilia on the ground gently, smiling the entire time. “Thanks Aquilia, you gave us a great advantage. Now rest while we complete the task at hand.”
Ceaira gripped her gem in her left hand, to reveal it’s image to be the firebird surrounded by flames. She then lowered the arm toward the ground, then lifted it quickly as she tossed the gem above her head. She then held out her crossbow and left arm out in front of her and went into a spin as a sparkling red energy surrounded her. “Firey Gem . . .” She then pointed the crossbow up to the sky and held out her left arm to the side and quickly opened her eyes to see the gem reaching it’s vertical peak. “Shatter and dispel!”She pulled the trigger of the crossbow and a arrow flew up, followed by all the energy which surrounded her before. They both collided with the front of the gem, causing it to shatter into a sparkling red light.
The six forms appeared before the building, then massed together into one giant blast of energy which shot forward and blasted the mantis. After the energy collided, it changed it’s intentions and formed a giant pillar of delta energy which seemed to incase the large creature. As the gang celebrated, Ceaira stepped forward and lifted the crossbow with both hands to face level. “Now to finish what I started before. Earthy Gem! Return to your power confined!” She then pulled the trigger, sending a white arrow across the sky like a shooting star. It bursted into a larger mass of light than normal, allowing itself to engulf the mantis. A few minutes passed, but the energy and creature finally disappeared to leave behind a small gem. Instead of falling, it slowly floated over to Ceaira, who grabbed it. She smiled as she looked at the image of the mantis with it’s claws crossed over each other, with it’s head lowered to the ground. “That was the toughest battle yet . . .” “Yeah.”
Suddenly, the group’s attention was caught by a flash of light emitting neat by. Turning in the direction of it’s origin, they gasped when they saw Aquilia surrounded by a silver aura. She awoke, then floated up into the air and smiled warmly. “Thanks you guys.” “What’s happening to you?” “Not much yet, but I’m one gem away from completing my transformation. The four elemental gems are needed to fully restore my powers, but the Star Gem will enable my final transformation. For now, I have my strongest attack power, Star Blaster.” “Really?” The bird nodded, then flew over to Ceaira. She perched herself on the GemCaptor’s shoulder and giggled. “Yeah! Now I can be more help to you guys!” “You were a big help even before this Aquilia. You guided us to victory with your wisdom. Without you we’d all be lost.”
The two smiled, then Aquilia jumped off of the shoulder and into Ceaira’s arms as the two hugged each other. As they did the clouds up above in the sky began to finally clear, allowing the sun to break through. Down on the ground, a mystical energy appeared from out of no where, and expanded to engulf the entire city. Once it disappeared, it was revealed that all of the damage caused by the gem was no longer visible.

The Kayo Gems

“Each gem that is captured has a mystical seal . . .a new mystifying gem today we shall reveal . . .”
The Kayo box is dark blue with the image of a golden eagle on the lid. It suddenly flipped opened and tipped over, causing all the gems inside to spill out onto the ground. they all bounced around, but one landed and spun around on one side. It then fell over into it’s flat side to reveal the image to be a black gargoyle holding two jagged daggers as he stood against a shattered background.
      “Hatred Gem!”
Sakura and Madison’s eyes became engulfed in a blood red coloured light as they glared at each other. Soon a fight broke out between them, which caused Li and Meilin to jump in, grabbing the two so they could not hurt each other. Ceaira summoned the Sleep Gem to put them under, when the gargoyle appeared. Using the gems of Love and Friendship, Ceaira was able to beat and seal the creature. Kero’s Corner

“Hey there Card fans! It’s once again time for Kero’s corner and today’s segment talks about my good friend Aquilia, in honour of her starring role in today’s episode!”
Kero then turns on the small TV to show a picture of Aquilia doing a high speed dive toward the Earthy Gem’s form..
“Despite her temporary size and lack of power, Aquilia can still pack quite a punch!”
He then changes the channel to show a still picture of Aquilia standing casually with her wings folded back, smiling.
“Aquilia is basically the chosen guardian beast of the Kayo Gems. As well, her element is Star so she will have a great deal of power once she transforms back. As you can see, in this form she looks like a budgie which is much better in fooling normal people like Ceaira’s friends. She as well has telekinetic powers in both forms!”
Kero smiled then flies closer until his face is almost right up again the camera lens.
      “And now, check out this!”
He changes the channel once again to show a still image of Ceaira standing casually in her school uniform with her arms behind her back.
“I know this doesn’t have to do with Aquilia, but I just had to mention Ceaira’s awesome ability to see people’s aura's. This is how she can tell how someone is really feeling, so don’t try and hide your emotions because she’ll be able to tell.”
Kero laughed, then was next seen at a closet looking through his previous battle costumes. As he pulls out the Shadow Card ribbon, he turns back toward the camera.
“So today’s Kero’s Corner was special because we talked about Aquilia, AND Ceaira’s special 6th sense. Two for one deal’s are the best, but that’s all the time we have today! See ya!”
He waves then tries on the ribbon and laughs as the scene fades out to black.
