A Holiday Prayer
Dear Lord,
At this time of season,
please open our hearts.
May we learn to be givers,
not takers,
for only then can we feel blessed.
Make us instruments
of your peace,
that peace might fill our world.
May your abundant mercy
touch our lives.
May our hearts so give
and so receive
as to expand to touch the stars.
May we learn to live with love,
that we might know
of heavenly bliss
while still here on earth.
May the miracle of Christmas
be a miracle in our hearts.
